Folk Hall Link for info

News reached us today that Fleetwood based businessman and Folk Singer Gary Hardman suffered a fatal heart attack yesterday evening.

Gary who lead the Irish Band Paddywack was a friendly and well liked man who would go out of his way to help and support anyone. He played his music as he ran his business in a very professional manner and filled his spare time bringing enjoyment to the many people who saw his act.

Our condolences go out to his wife Joyce and his children

We have not only lost an enthusiastic folk musician, but a good friend and nice bloke.

Further details of the funeral, wakes etc will be published here as we become aware of them

Gary Hardman's (Paddywack) Funeral will be held at Carlton crematorium on Friday 16th April 2004 at 9am - everyone is welcome and afterwards we'll be going back to The Steamer at Fleetwood (10am).

Request from Gary's wife Joyce: No Black, No Tears and Instruments / Music welcome at The Steamer.

We'll say "Goodbye" to Gary with a smile and a song - the way he lived his life.

Gary's daughter - Songs can hold such memories, they would be a great link for your children.

s&r are Rusty and Stu Wright, two local people who may be able to help. You can find their contact details on the Fylde Folk Festival website - they organise the workshops and young performers contest.
