12 May 04 - 12:43 PM (#1183946) Subject: RE: BS: What tunings do you use for a small dog? From: Bee-dubya-ell Why does everybody always want somebody else to tell them how to tune their small dogs? Just experiment! Tune his left front leg to a D. Then tune the right front leg to whatever note you think makes a pleasing interval. Continue on around the whole dog and then strum the thing. If it sounds good just play around with it for a while and see what happens. Try "Soldier's Joy" or something and see if the fingering is comfortable. If it doesn't work, just start over. Just be careful not to break any legs. |

Spike Jones once used a goat on one of his recordings. There was a sizeable flap with the Musician's Union as to whether the goat was a musician (i.e. had to pay dues) or a musical instrument. Don't recall how that one came out. |

14 May 04 - 06:37 PM (#1185853) Subject: RE: BS: What tunings do you use for a small dog? From: Inükshük Come on you people! There is only one way to play a dog. You grab the ears in one hand and the tail in the other and you play them like accordians. Cats on the other hand are best played as bagpipes. Bite the tail while squeezing the feline under your arm. |
