15 Jun 04 - 02:17 PM (#1207914) Subject: RE: Alcester and Arden Folk Festival From: alanww Huh folkies! Us CAMRA lot do our bit to encourage a great pub for beer drinkers (The Holly Bush, which often happens to have a bit of local music and singing too) and we also discover two other great drinking pubs in the town good enough to put in the Good Beer Guide (The Three Tuns & The Turk's Head). And then what happens? As Snuffy says: it seems to get over-run at beer festival time! I've ever heard that there may be some local mummers there on the Friday night to interupt our concentrated drinking! What next? Music and singing and other jollity throughout our beer festival, I suppose? And I bet some of our tastiest beers run out by Sunday too! Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! "Come landlord fill the flowing bowl ...!" Alan |
