BS: Eureopean Voting, who you voting for/

From: Rt Revd Sir jOhn from Hull

I just got my voting pack, looks a bit complicated , so i'm still studying it, theres loads to choose from, 10 for europe and 5 for hull.
Labour are shit, so i won't vote for them, Liberal Demo cats have got the nicest leaflet, so i will probably vote for them in both sections.

anyway, i got leaflets from all the people execept Independent, how you supposed to know if they are any good, if they dont send you a leaflet telling you what they going to do!

I didn't get a leaflet of Conservatives either, i just realised, i just matched them all up, to the voting thing, and tried to decide who to vote for.

anyway, the British National Party, and The English Democrat Party look both the same, both got the same ideas, and both got cheap crappy looking laefltes Qoute "defending the rights og English People" , I'm not English anyway, so they can get lost!
I reckon they are both the same lot, trying to have 2 goes.

Who you voting for?

I think it's going to be more a case of going through and deciding who I'm NOT voting for and then seeing what's left.

I think that there will be a strategic anti Labour vote this time - if only to send a message to Tony. Whether he'll be prepared to listen to it is another question. I'm not holding my breath.

Surprisingly for someone as left wing as myself, I have never voted in any election ever ever not once never. But if I did, I would take a leaf out of jOhn's book and vote for the prettiest uniform. So I suspect the BNP would get my vote.

and now, they on about having Regional ones as well, more bullshit, and big waste of money!
anyway, how do you get a job as a councillor, and how much is the wages?

anyway, Chris the Christian is a Councillor, he lives in town, and he works in the church, i thought he did the council stuff for free to help hull etc, but he gets paid for that as well, he does funerals as well, vicars get loads for funerals, [about 100 quid, for half an hour job!, how do you get to be a vicar?

i bet they keep the collection money as well [allegidly]

anyway, what happened to The Monster Raving Loonie Party?

I don't even know who's standing in my ward, you see there aren't many people live up here in the highlands of Scotland, so we don't affect the over all figures. So nobody gives a fuck about us!

As there's not an honest one amongst the lot, who cares?

My Grandad used to say "Politicians are a lot of lying, cheating, thieving bastards! Don't vote for them - it only encourages them...", and the older I get, the more I agree with him.
Anybody who WANTS to be a politician should automatically be barred from doing so, as it shows they're just in it for the power - we should have to haul somebody into the job, kicking and screaming.

Why isn't there a "none of the above" option? That way we could keep throwing out the useless ones till somebody reasonable had a go!

Such is life...

I have said these exact words on countless occasions!!

But, isn't there ANYONE out there who wants to buy my vote? I'll take Euros...

Utah Phillips said it best.   He said a guy came up to him and put a gun to his head and said "who are you voting for"   (fill in the candidates)   After thinging about it, he said "shoot me".

Unfortunately, that joke works for all most any election, in allmost any country.    Nevertheless, I would still take an election over a military coup any time.

I'm voting for Teribus. I'd love to see the cheeky buggar get elected and then catch hell from everyone over all the assorted ills of society for a few years before he gets turfed out for good. It'll be fun having Teribus to blame for everything. Then he could write his bloody memoirs and bore the bollocks off the lot of us!

Ellen, I will buy your vote so I can vote for Teribus twice. I will pay you two bob. Deal?

I also want to reelect Charles de Gaule, but the bugger has gone and died, so I can't. Too bloody bad. He got up everyone's nose and kept things interesting for awhile.

And it seems that in London the tubes are going on strike that day, so the likelihood of me getting home in time to vote is minimal anyway. I guess that saves me the trouble of trying to decide!

Strike now off, it was only a ploy to make us think the the Labour Party still has friends in the trade union movement.
