Hey ZORRO,

I think you'll find that it's called "Baby what you want me to do " of course this means that I'll be singing it in my head all day now. If no one comes up with the goods I'll get it for you.

Be lucky

Ritchie.

You got me fast, you got me slow,

You got me fast, fast, slow, slow,

any way you want me let it roll,

You got me doin' what you want to baby won't you let me roll.

Or somthing like that. Frank i.t.s.

If you want to hear the song, Jimmy's CD's are still available (I believe on the old VJ label). I just saw several of his CD's at Millenium Records in Charleston, SC. I've got that song on one of his greatest hits CD's as it is a standard.

St. Johns floodplain, Florida, anywhere between Lake Poinsett and the north end of Lake Harney (by Deep Creek) is my usual stomping grounds. The Econlockhatchee river used to be like a private getaway (the name means "hidden river), but Florida is "developing" so fast it has now become a raceway for jet skiers, and a dumping ground for cheap beer-aholics. I've taken many a full bottle of beer into the woods, and have always found it easier to carry empty ones out than full ones in!

North Florida has many great places, Blackwater creek being one of my favourites, and the Suwannee being one of the most famous, and the Suwannee drains from... The Okeefenokee... Let's Pogo everyone! I've camped in the Everglades, and emerged with enough blood left to feed a leech, a small one. Having been bitten by mosquitos from Alaska to Maine, midges in Scotland, horseflies in barnyards, dogs, cats and a woman with rabies I feel qualified to tell you...There ain't no skeeters like Okeechobee skeeters! We don't have much to boast of in the swamps, so I gotta get it all in.

I always thought the line was "Got me peeping, got me hiding." There was also a Little Richard song with the line "Slippin and a-slidin, peepin and a-hidin." Maybe it was a common expression in those days.

You know Earl I think you're probably right ,peeping makes more sense in the context of the song but hey at the moment I'm enjoying finding out how to write c/w & folk songs I have n't got time for the Blues....mmm that seems quite a catchy little title....(thinks) " mmm I wonder ? Now if I...."
