The wee man from Plymouth will be making a welcome return to St Albans on Friday 18th June

He rarely plays far away from home, Exeter is about his limit although he has crossed into Dorset and Somerset so I've heard.

A wealth of songs with a neat sense of fun playing at the Duke of Marlborough ,Holywell Hill on Friday before re-emerging at the Herga club on Monday.

If you are in the london and home counties do come and hear him ,he is the 'Vin Garbutt' of the South West, but with an accent that you can understand and a great clutch of songs with very singable choruses written by Graham Searle.

Good clean picking guitar technique too.

And always of a smart appearance.

Well worth the effort to come and see.

see the Moorland folk club page

Guru

You are still on - only he told everyone that you would be there this week until I reminded him that it is the blonde one this week and the brunette next week.

Get it right Breezy!

So:- 20th is Moses
      27th is Guru

Well, Breezy's error may work well in my favour - might get an audience if they think it's Moses they'll be hearing :-)

Seriously though, am looking forward to being back on 'home turf' as it were - I feel far away....

St Albans is on the way to Arden

Ben sounds in good form, all the floor singers are going to do his early songs so he can fit in in his new one.

Shorts to be worn

I was just wondering      How many other clubs have a dress down code?

Or is 'shorts' more to do with the air conditioning system, ie: you only open the door at the interval Breezy?

Knees it is then!

Ben will be at the Herga on Monday

He has some cracking new songs as well as the ones that have made him a household name and a regular festival guest

Graham Searle has writes the words and Ben has set them to original melodies than are most tuneful.

It'll be a treat to hear some fresh songs from the west country's leading singer-songwriter and he plays neat guitar too.

at the Duke of Marlborough, Holywell Hill, St Albans.

doors open 7.30

plus Chris Flegg, George Papavgeris, and

Nick Burdett and the boys from Leicester!!

Unfortunately Ben had an accident at work today and was hospitalised and will not be performing this evening

We all wish him well and pray that he fully recovers from the injuries he sustained.

we will sing his songs tonight while thinking about him.

it was a 6 x 2 plank that got him on the head as he slipped thru unsecured decking, dislocated shoulder, wrenched back so he is setting about working on his stand up comic act.

They've just taken him back into Deresford Hospital, they found him wandering outside the entrance talking on his mobile phone, in his pygamas, and dressing gown, but they waited until he'ld 'bottled' the crowd.

for breakfast he has an egg - on his head.
