Just spent a wonderful weekend at the A1 festival in Peterborough.
If you haven't experienced it yet I would highly recommend it.

It is a small but very well organised festival with a very professional approach, I was most impressed.

Thanks to all the organisers of A1.

Can you tell us a bit more about what to expect? A lot of participatory stuff or mainly concert/diaplay? What sort of singing, music & dance are featured? Closed site or pub/street-based?

It's mainly a bluegrass festival but it featured a fantastic Irish band called Taeda and some other European groups playing both bluegrass and other styles.

If you enjoy bluegrass/american music there was groups of musicians picking in several corners. Lots of concerts, workshops etc.

All on one sight, there is a pub in town but evrything you need is om sight. It is a lovely venue, Sacrewell Farm. Restaurant, bar, toilets, showers, bunny rabbits, hens, peacocks.....

lots of sunshine to this year:-)

The A1 festival is this weekend, and nobody's mentioned it.
Here's the website.
It's an excellent festival, with superb concerts, loads of jamming opportunities, workshops, camping etc.
Cheers
Ray

I forgot to mention the Real Ale Bar is run by local Camra people with around 20 different beautifully kept beers straight out of the barrel.
