I heard Frank Harte sing a version of this song about seven or eight years ago at the Inishowen singing weekend and taped it. BUT alas I have 'lent' the tape recording to someone and 'That kind person' has decided to hold on to it. Trouble is I can't for the life of me remember who it was . . PLEASE can anyone help. I was hoping to learn it. It was one of those songs you place on the LONG FINGER and now I've got round to it    it's gone.

       thanks   EOIN

There is one text in an earlier thread: Wheels of the WOrld

Broadside examples at Bodleian Library Broadside Ballads:

Wheels of the world

The song appears on Frank Harte's 1798: The First Year of Liberty (Hummingbird HBCD 0014, 1998).

Thanks Malcolm, I have that CD but again alas I have 'Lent' it to my brother in law, I seem to be the only one in my family that buys CDs. I will get it back,      thanks again.   Eoin
