My duo is performing in Moncton NB on the patio of a nice seafood restaurant before and after the fireworks... I will also be taking in a performance of the city's concert band that a friend plays clarinet in... waving the flag and drinking lots of beer as well!

Brian.

We're celebrating my Mother's 84th birthday. A lot of live music, a lot of food and a bit of single malt for some to choose. Happy Birthday Mum! you hung in there, to vote in another election too, despite your misgivings.

Cheering the good sense of the national electorate, and giving thanks that brucie is gone.

Going to visit my parents for a BBQ, then maybe go to a fireworks show if it doesn't rain. How Canadian is that, eh?

Having the day off work, watching the Euro 2004 semi then off to the park with the kids.

You Canadians may not know this but I am the greatest benefactor your country ever had. Not only have I never been there, I seldom mention the place. You can't buy that kind of favourable advertising for any amount of money.

"strawberry festival with music" that's what I'm doing! nice little winery north of Brampton (ontario) with a bassoonist, couple of fiddlers and a banjo.

Cheering the good sense of the national electorate, and giving thanks that brucie is gone. And jerking off while I watch kiddie porn.

Playing at the Sharbot Lake celebrations with the Blue Skies Fiddle Orchestra, then going to see Jenny Whiteley and Pierre Schryer at the wonderful, small Maberly Hall. Then going home and getting up at 4:45 to work a 15-hour day...but never mind that.

I'll be working tomorrow, still shaking my head at the fucking lemmings who voted for even more of the same old crap and feeling thankful for having a home in a country with so much promise, freedom and beauty.

Well, I'm putting the Canadian flag up, but otherwise trying to get through a LOT of work! I had hoped to get a bunch of local Canadians together for a drink, but that will have to wait for next year.

Enjoy it on my behalf - and all others who are far from home today!

I met a bunch of Canadians at the recent festival in Robin Hood's Bay (England) From their accents I would have sworn they were from West Yorkshire. Weird!

Well, I'm half way through a bunch of yard work. Plan on doing a lot of picking when I'm finished that.

Happy Canada Day.

Take out pizza, a rented DVD, and the flag prominently displayed along with our collection of animals dressed as Mounties. JtS started my day out with a few measures of "Oh Canada" sung in his operatic singing voice... always a good way to start the day, I think ;-)

Hmmm. Let's see. Well, I got Friday's wheel shipment ready early, and all the chores are done. I sent a silly email to Daylia, in hopes of providing her with a laugh or two. I posted here a couple of times. Now I have the rest of the day totally free. I think I shall go downtown, have a look around, find a nice place to sit, and read a little more from "Autobiography of a Yogi". (great book)

Hey, ex-pat, they didn't vote FOR the Liberals, they voted against the recycled Reform Party. :-) I voted for my local guy, though, cos he's a good man quite regardless of his party affiliation (Liberal).

I love Canada. It's a good country.
