20 Aug 04 - 07:12 PM (#1252528) Subject: RE: Towersey Folk Festival....whos going?? From: GUEST,Crystal I'm going. I steward at the kids festival but I'll be around as much as possible, especially anything involving singing, or dancing. I'll probably be clutching a big, green, furry haggis and looking bemused and lost, I've been doing somthing similar for the past 12 years after all. |
20 Aug 04 - 07:24 PM (#1252543) Subject: RE: Towersey Folk Festival....whos going?? From: Morticia Pixie and I will be there, also looking bemused but clutching tankards which would explain it. |

23 Aug 04 - 05:51 AM (#1254319) Subject: RE: Towersey Folk Festival....whos going?? From: MBSLynne Oh, is it no ticket in the barn? That's was where I spent most of my time when I was last at Towersey. I wonder if I can escape for a day and get there and have a sing...? Can't afford tickets or to camp but if I can get there.... Love Lynne |

23 Aug 04 - 06:12 AM (#1254330) Subject: RE: Towersey Folk Festival....whos going?? From: Gervase Curses - for the first time in years I won't be there. I'll have withdrawal symptoms all weekend thinking of you lot in the barn, but there's too much work to do on the wreck out here in west Wales and the piggy bank's looking anorexic. |
23 Aug 04 - 06:19 AM (#1254335) Subject: RE: Towersey Folk Festival....whos going?? From: Catherine Jayne Sorry you can't make it Gervase, I was looking forward to hearing you sing again. We will have a drink or 3 for you!! Hope to see you soon |

23 Aug 04 - 09:13 AM (#1254420) Subject: RE: Towersey Folk Festival....whos going?? From: Morticia Not an organised sing a round no, but we usually burst into song in the pub, whether people like it or not,LOL. Be lovely to see you Lynne, if you can make it ( should we organise an escape commitee?). Sorry you won't be there Gervase, perhaps we should all feel guilty that we aren't there with you, wielding spades and other manly artisan type devices......but I'll settle for raising a tankard in honour of the project, if that's okay? |
23 Aug 04 - 04:07 PM (#1254710) Subject: RE: Towersey Folk Festival....whos going?? From: My guru always said Am really hoping to get along (not been before) on the Monday after the weekend at Bridgenorth - I expect it would bew a criminal offence to pass by on the way home. 23 Aug 04 - 09:38 PM (#1254905) Subject: RE: Towersey Folk Festival....whos going?? From: Richard Atkins The thread Towersea Bridgenorth has been closed.I wonder why? I go to Bridgenorth now, more friendly atmosphere and more folkie stewards than security. However the Barn Sings at The Three Horseshoes are one of the best and not to be missed. |
25 Aug 04 - 11:36 AM (#1256381) Subject: RE: Towersey Folk Festival....whos going?? From: Ian You could consider putting the caravan in the main car park field. ian |

27 Aug 04 - 03:47 AM (#1257909) Subject: RE: Towersey Folk Festival....whos going?? From: Dave Bryant My caravan's in the university car park, so I'll be off straight from work, picking up Linda at Northolt. We'll be on a CL caravan site east of Oxford, a bit of a drive away, but should be at the pub/barn tonight. This weather doesn't look too good for anyone in a tent, and if the main camp site gets very muddy, it could also be a problem for caravans as well. |
27 Aug 04 - 04:43 AM (#1257941) Subject: RE: Towersey Folk Festival....whos going?? From: Gervase Many of you are probably already en route, but for those that aren't have a great time and sing one for me! That barn's going to get pretty sweaty and humid over the next few days - so don't get trench foot or anything nasty. And, if you're camping, good luck with those Chiltern winds. I'll keep an eye peeled here at the edge of the Irish Sea for odd shreds of gazebo heading westwards! |
