06 Sep 04 - 02:32 PM (#1265435) Subject: RE: Otley folk fest From: GUEST,HipflaskAndy Hello Wigan, about . . . . 'been on the website, but nothing to read about camping arrangements' On the opening page of their website it says.... 'Thursday evening. We can now offer camping on Thursday night at our campsite at Knotford Nook (the same as last year). The campsite will be equipped with toilets, washing facilities, catering outlet and security, showers will be available from the football club (over the road), see notice boards for shower times.' ...and on the order form on the booking page it says.... 'Camping - Outdoor only. Please state if tent or caravan/ camper @ £4 per person per night' If that isn't enough for you - there's an email address there to contact 'em with your enquiries. Cheerio then, HFA |

07 Sep 04 - 01:43 PM (#1266087) Subject: RE: Otley folk fest From: GUEST Will their be any Scratch Morris? |
07 Sep 04 - 02:08 PM (#1266101) Subject: RE: Otley folk fest From: Mrs.Duck There is no tradition for scratch morris in Otley although no reason why it shouldn't take place. Whitby and Sidmouth both have long established scratch sides but on a weekend it is unlikely that there would be the time to do it justice. |

15 Sep 04 - 12:59 PM (#1272591) Subject: RE: Otley folk fest From: Mrs.Duck The Manor House is usually good for singers. We will probably be in there on Thursday evening and in Whittakers on Friday. I now no longer have to work Friday so no need to do a dawn dash to Barnsley. Only problem now is getting the caravan onto the road with a bad back!!!! |

19 Sep 04 - 09:46 AM (#1275528) Subject: RE: Otley folk fest From: GUEST,rob wright Hello again. Anne Taggart could not make it as her son broke his collar bone playing footy. He is OK. We still managed a flying visit. Angie Wright sang in the open mike spot at The Junction, Thanks Tim for good work on the sound desk.Watched some dancing at the Woolpack and the Bowling Green. Then a quick visit to the Manor for a couple of songs and then on to the Red Lion where there was a lively session and a few more songs thanks to a rat introduction from Patrick Steval Toastmaster . We had to leave at 6.00pm to get back to Chester but next year we will be back in force. |
