Theres a new Guitar Shop in Beverley, its called "Bevereley Guitar Shop".
It's on Ladygate and they sell loads of differnt guitars ="We stock Accoustic, electric, classical and flamenco guitars ranging from beginers guitars to top notch proffesinal instruments"
theyve got a website www.guitarsatbeverley.com

They are running a competition, you can win a PRS, no idea waht a PRS is, [probly something to do with guitars], you could ring them up=

A PRS is a very good (my opinion) electric guitar, of which I have but one, with pretty birds on the neck
What a shame there isnt a guitar ship -my first thoughts were of prison ships maybe transporting poor quality guitars to some third world country. Or perhaps the crew are guitars with mandolins as cabin boys, and a violin as ships cat?- Enough already.

I, too, thought that the idea of a guitar ship had potential, then I saw the name of Sir jOhn from Hull, and I knew.....

I should have guessed, Beverley was somewhat inland last time I looked!

You'll be surprised to learn that Beverley has a long history of ship building.

I once knew a Beverley who had ship building connections - she used to pick up sailors around Chatham Dockyard.

Beverley is on the river Hull, it made sea-going ships that had to be launched sideways into the river. The slipway still exists.

The lass from Beverley I knew - her father worked in the shipyard as a young man. I got all the stories.........

There is a canal arm/wharf right upto the main road. I forget where Ladygate is - unless it is the pedestrian offshoot of the main shopping pedestrian bit.

(waits for Sir jOhn from Hull to give directions - lets hope they are decipherable)

It is an offshoot of 'the main shopping' bit. Ladygate runs between Hengate and cornhill/ Toll Gavel, and is parrallel to Walkergate.
Today's bow tie is dark blue.

Last service in Beverley Minster is Christmas day. ASDA have bought it so it will become Beverleys new corner shop from 2005.

An Ovation makes a perfect guitar ship.

It's good to hear that they are knocking Beverley Minister down, and building an ASDA there, ASDA are cheaper than Tescos.

I have a feeling I read somewhere that some notable historic vessel was built & launched in Beverley...may try & look it up if I get a minute.

You ASDA be joking! If Beverley Minster were ever to be converted into a supermarket, it would have to be Waitrose!

But, fear not! Not much has happened to the Minster since the 16th Century, and it is still a beautiful building

Only ever went to Beverley once, trying to sell a computer system to the local Building Society. Failed, but had a good pub lunch with the IT manager. Story of my life, I suppose.

The Rt. Rev may prove to be a prophet in his own lifetime. The council are considering a scheme for mooring barges on Beverley Beck to provide business accommodation so barge shops could be the next move. There used to be kids bookboat on the Thames at Greenwich, oddly enough that was originally a Humber Barge.

The guitar shop didn't close - it moved back to its original location above the art gallery about 80 yards away.
