VERY basic caravans were to be had a Homehead caravan site at a very low cost (<£20 a night for a 6 berth). They are one step up from camping. Take a sleeping bag and a bottle of rum:-). Toilet block and running water in a seperate (and just as primitive) building.

Mrs Morphett used to run them. Tel: 01524241236 Spent many a happy hour there myself but must forgo the pleasure this time:-(
