What We Did on Our Holidays and Unhalfbricking are also great albums. Sandy was only in the band from 1967-1969, and then again in the mid 70s. She died in 1978. |

I'm embarrassed to admit that at those times I did not. After someone came to a restaurant I worked at and brought pictures and Cd's of her for me to look at and listen to..I realized why I was being asked. The physical resemblance is so startling that even my own mother asked me when I had the pictures taken. To top it all...I came to know that my favorite song of all times "Who Knows Where the Time Goes" was penned by her. (I'm one of those people that really doesn't investigate what pleases me so I am often in the dark). I'm honoured and pleased now, when people mention our resemblance both in feature and in song. |

I find most anthologies are a mix of good and not so good but this one contains the really exquisite LISTEN,LISTEN, which also features Richard Thompson on mandolin. It was on her album SANDY and I bought that one after hearing it on John Peel's radio show in the early 70's. I think I remember Peel saying that LISTEN, LISTEN was worth the cost of shelling out for a stereo system! It all seems such a long time, now - who knows where the time...oops. |

She matches Plant note for note! I then heard some of her on the radio, on various "Psychedelic" and "Folk" programs. I've still to hear one of her albums. Can't wait for that comp, Rumanci! |
