We are now back in the land of Oz after an amazing trip to the UK. We received an enormous amount of support and love from a great number of catters and we want to thank all that we've met, sung for and with and who helped us along the way. We hope to see you all again next year.

The music continues.

glad you got back safely hope you can cope with the normality of down under after all the English eccentricities you've encountered- or should that be eccentrics!

Take care

How's the heat then John & Nicole?? I'm sure you'll miss the British winter (not)!!! Have a great few months back at home, and I'll raise a glass tonight to 2 mates and sing these words from Alan Bell:-

When first we met we were total strangers
We didn't know if we could be friends,
How soon we came to know each other
Now I know we will meet again

      Chorus:
So here's to you and our time together
I'll share with you now a parting glass
And bid adieu with a smile and laughter
Our time apart will be short and pass

See you soon

John B

welcome back, Cloudstreet & see you soon at Cafe Church (Tues 7th Dec 8pm for any Sydney catters)

It will be great to hear you again & get your newest album. Maybe JennyO & I can get the right tune for The Country Song which we sing to whatever tune we can fit it to. We learnt the chorus from a performance of Martin's but when it comes to singing the whole song ... Anyway, we have fun!!

Your UK 'tour' was a delight for all you touched by your music & fellowship. Hope you found a good owner for the 'van', what a Fab song John, up to your usual standard!

Understand you're booked at the Lewes Arms & have warned them to sell advance tickets.

Enjoy the weather, overcast & drizzly here....

Come back soon John and Nicole. Cloudstreet was the highlight of all the summer festivals I've been to this year.

Leaving Banbury on Sunday evening after the festival, we spotted "Romance" (the van) in the carpark. Empty of possessions, clearly already handed over. For us it was the final sign that you were really leaving. And it felt bloody awful, except that we knew you were looking forward to your return to Brisbane.

We'll see you in Brisbane around the 22nd December - gig or no gig.

And the Green Man (admittedly not one of yours) in the recently renamed "Green Man Room" awaits your return.

Masses, oodles, bucketfuls of love from Vanessa and George

Needless to say when Schantie and I sing The B and R we'll be thinking of you two.

Nicole: No ice and very lemony.

John: That night in the bar tent at Burntwood was a magic moment for me!! (It's ok, Nicole, we only sang!)

Oh and thanks for the text from Hong Kong (it was HK wasn't it?) and hope the afternoon tea was nice.

We miss you already.

Hi John & Nicole. Glad you got back down under ok. I hope you can now have a bit of a rest from the constant travelling! Look forward to seeing you again soon - maybe when you come back we will both be at the same festival and will park our campervans next to each other, like we did at Whitby 2003! Oh, and John, I hope you get on ok with your learning to play your new concertina. [Did I show you my new (1885!) baritone Wheatstone I bought for song accompaniment?] And did you get all your new instuments back through customs ok?
"Sing John Ball and tell it to them all!"
