Your thread looks a bit lonely

I haven't got anything productive to say - but good luck

I suppose there'll be a lot of sailors hanging around the bar?

A fine system will be in operation.
Fines for singing off-key, forgetting words, heckling, inappropriate dress, plus fines for not getting fined. Fines for singing long ballads, short ballads, no ballads. Fines for wearing sandals and socks. Fines for wearing sandals OR socks. For wearing an anorak, for being an anorak.

Heck, just bring loadsamoney and your singing voices. We'll find ways to extract both from you.

Most has already been said. But please come and support the evening if you can, it will be fun and also raise very much needed funds for the JST so that they can carry on their brilliant work. For information on their work please see www.jst.org.uk

Thank you

I have a fabulous photograph of one of my ex students who is wheelchair bound with severe cerebral palsy, in his wheelchair half way up a mast, over the sea, somewhere in the Bay of Biscay. It's something I will always treasure. Thanks to JST as it was the Lord Nelson he was on at the time.

It's too far from Cornwall to come up for the night but I'll be with you in spirit and might even sing a couple of songs for you, sitting in front of my fire here on the moors, glass in hand, and, yes , you can fine me too.
