BS: What drinks are members' names?

Subject: BS: What drinks are members' names?
From: Wyrd Sister

Sorry if this has been done before, but the idea got me through the Friday shop . . .
I would like to emphasise I have included no-one I know, nor are my ideas particularly inspired by posts, BUT to me:-
Stilly River Sage is a pleasant chardonnay
Katlaughing is one of those sparkly, herby non-alcoholic drinks (cf Amé in Britain)
jOhn from hull (sorry if spelling wrong) is an idiosyncratic export-strength Real Ale brew from an obscure backstreet brewery, much loved by those in the know but spat out by many
Gargoyle is something like moonshine, that fells those not raised to it.

Any more?

Sorry for any offence, it's just another silly game.

Rapaire is something green with lots of different kinds of hooch in it. Sorta like a Long Island Iced Tea or Bahama Blue - you don't realize it's kicked your ass until you try to stand up.

Rustic Rebel is a variant of Sex On the Beach.

Amos is too boring a name for a drink so it would have to be called "Infamous Amos" (with "infamous" intentionally mispronounced to rhyme). It contains a variety of obscure and little-known liqueurs. When you finish drinking it you're no sure whether or not you enjoyed it, whether or not you're drunk, and why in the hell you bothered with it in the first place.

I'm not sure what a Martin Gibson would contain, but I know it would be served in an asshole-shaped glass.

An Oaklet is a creme-de-menthe and cointreau - shaken over ice with a sprinking of salt with a sparkler and a good slug of Lea and Perrins in it. I just made that up.

The Misophist is only served in the bar on Tattooine. It's everclear, flavored with wormwood and rue, and sipped through a straw while inhaling nitrous oxide.

Gargoyle has to be a Listerine flavoured aperitif.

Either way I served a five year apprenticeship as a boilermaker.

save the sprinking of salt and a good slug of Lea and Perrins for the
bloody maria...tomato juice base (or hot v-8 juice or bloody mary mix)
with tequila...i would hate to think of any of our "mary's" as bloody
though....although we do have several lovelies...
also sangria, which is wine and fruit, seems like a name that stems from blood as well..no one by that name here....though, is there?

Stone Brewery - produces a bottled beer with a pretty fair rendering of my likeness on the bottle. It is a full malt, dry hopped, mouthy feel ale, called "Arrogant Bastard." On the backside it explains why you are not worthy to consume its brew.

Sincerely,

Sounds like a good topic of conversation when in a strange pub.

"Did you know? some people have names which match their drinks, like mine."

"Oh, what's your?"

"That's frightfully decent of you, I'll have a pint!"

How about a Lime Rickey for Morticia? Layers of color, a bit tart, and just enough Grenadine for sweetness. Goes down easily (NO - that is not what I mean!) and leaves one pleasantly tipsy.

Martin, you don't know Ron very well. If milk, he would be chocolate with a touch of hot pepper. I however see him as a cool mint julip, meant to be sipped and enjoyed on a hot summer day.

And do you mean Barium as in enema for BWL? Wrong again. Hard cider hanging hidden from Mom fermenting on the porch... the cider, not Mom.

Mingulay is an island malt aged for half a century in old sherry wood until the colour of toffee, smooth on the tongue with hints of seaweed and heather. Perfect with oatcakes and honey.
