I have an old Tape of Archie from an Lp which I had years ago but have now lost. I'm transferring it to Cd but have also lost the track listings plus the blasted name of the Lp. Tracks Titles include: Men of Worth / Linsey / Broom of the Cowdenknowes/ Adam Camerom. The rest I am not sure of. Any help would be of great Value. As Aye, Phil Jackson

Correction: track 7 should read "The Laird o' Windy Wa's".

"Will Ye Gang, Love" is a wonderful record that was first released in 1974 on Topic Records, and again in 1993 on Green Linnet. Musicians are Archie Fisher, vocal and guitar; Allan Barty, fiddle and mandola; and John Tams, melodeon.

Cheers,
Michael

Michael, I know no 7 is the same song, but the album sleeve I saw (I've only got a copy myself) listed it in the way I spelt it.

Slight thread creep: Does anyone know where to find Allan Barty these days? I met him in Germany around 2000, where he was playing as a duo with George Getty, but was still living in Scotland most of the time. However, he's not listed in the Dundee directory any more.

Hi Susanne -- I only have the Green Linnet re-release cassette, so perhaps something got lost in translation.

Cheers,
Michael

I have a copy of the original LP in front of me and track 7, the first on side 2, is given exactly as Michael posted: 'The Laird o' Windy Wa's'. Topic 12TS277. The publication date was 1976, not '1974' as suggested above by Michael.

That's also how Archie sang it: "Windy Wa's."

Thanks, Michael and Stewie, I've changed the title. At least I got the year right!
