Season's Greetings

09 Dec 04 - 04:10 AM (#1351739)
Subject: Season's Greetings
From: Roger the Skiffler

Having failed to find free e-Xmas cards that work, are funny, not twee, don't take forever to send and being too mean to spend money...
I'd like to take the opportunity to wish the condiments of the season (would that be nutmeg?) to all those Mudcatters who during 2004:
Have tolerated my naive questions and given sensible answers
Have corrected my misconceptions
Have been amused at my attempts at humour
Have encouraged me to "perform" despite my lack of talent
Have enjoyed my travelogues
Have provided or corrected lyrics I've sought
Have made & sent me recordings
Have sent me their own CDs
Have amused me with their humour
Have impressed me with their literary and songwriting skills
Have astounded me with their musical knowledge

Have a good time and may you all have a happy and healthy 2005

And to you, old friend never met. It's good to "see" familiar faces here expressing the kind of communal feelings we used to express a lot more regularly.

Have a great holiday season and new year.

All the best,

Mick

best wishes to all Mudcatters.

May I also take this oportunity of thanking everybody who has supported me through the first 9 months of Market Rasen Folk Club, and who have made the club what it is today. That means Singers/Listeneres and Helpers.
I wish you all a fantastic Christmas and a very prosperous and happy New Year, and may health be on your side.

Good old Roger! (Some say ...)

"A merry Christmas to us all. God bless us."

No prizes for identifying that! And if you don't observe Christmas, or you're a non-believer, for whatever perfectly sound reasons, that doesn't disqualify you from accepting the sentiment, and you won't take offense at me expressing it ... so no-one else need take offense on your behalf.
