19 Dec 04 - 03:36 PM (#1361337) Subject: RE: BS: Peace and Love for Christmas. From: Once Famous What's wrong with wishing this message the rest of the year? Why do many Christians only do it now? Same with the "giving" thing. There are less fortunate people all year around. Yet it seems like for many, the charity thing ends when the holidays end. Please think about this starting 12/26 and enjoy your holiday. |

19 Dec 04 - 04:40 PM (#1361382) Subject: RE: BS: Peace and Love for Christmas. From: MBSLynne You are, of course, right Martin. I'm not a Christian and I do try to wish people these things the rest of the year too, but it doesn't hurt to have a time which reminds us to think about this and hopefully makes us more inclined to remember it after the Yuletide holiday. Be happy Love (and peace) Lynne |

And for those who celebrate the birth of Christ, a special joy at this time of year. As a side note, Christians don't just think of helping other people during the Christmas season. Neither do non-Christians. People of good heart and loving acts know no season. Jerry |

I've done some work at a homeless shelter and I'm on the board of a group that sponsers a food drive. How about you ? Thanks |
19 Dec 04 - 06:31 PM (#1361468) Subject: RE: BS: Peace and Love for Christmas. From: Jerry Rasmussen Sleepless in Cyberspace: If it would change anyone's opinion we could all talk about the good acts we do throughout the year, whether we are Christians or Atheists. But, people think what they want to think, and don't let reality confuse the issue. I could leave myself out of the discussion and talk endlessly about all the loving, generous acts that others do, with no relationship to Liberal or Conservative, Christians or Atheist, or Jew. Think I might just do that.. Jerry |
19 Dec 04 - 06:46 PM (#1361479) Subject: RE: BS: Peace and Love for Christmas. From: GUEST,Sleepless Dad Jerry - Thanks - You're right. I just get very tired of MG's constant negativity, pettyness and blanket statments. I suspect that he does no charitable work of any kind and I was trying to call him on it. And that was petty of me. I was wrong. At any time of year. |
