Concert recordings of trad singers

In other forms of music I've been interested in over the years, trading tapes of live concert recordings has been a common & accepted activity, having nothing to do with commercial interests and everything to do with enjoying & spreading the music. You get to hear the artist in a live situation complete with stories behind the songs, etc - all the things that are great about hearing a favorite singer or musician in a concert performance.

I'm wondering if we might start a listing here on this thread of any concert recordings of traditional &/or "revival" singers all of us have that we'd be willing to share with others on the list?

One more addition to the above post - I was too young to see any of the legendary American traditional singers when they were being brought around to the folk festivals of the 60's & 70's (Almeda Riddle, Sara Cleveland, etc), and I missed alot of great revival singers during that same period. Anyone have recordings from Fox Hollow, Pinewoods camps, etc?

Hi Dave,

If you haven't seen them go to the Library and do a search for the mid 60's public TV show Raimbow Quest by Pete Seeger. Many outstanding performance there-in by musicians at their peak or just abpit to come into there own.

Norm Cazden, Grant Rogers, Sonnie and Brownie, Hedy West, Doc Watson
to name a few. I have them on BETA II so unless you have that format I can't lend them very far.

Don

Great show in Buffalo by the way.
