BS: Killooleet summer camp for kids

If you're a parent or grandparent looking for a summer camp for a 9 - 14 year old boy or girl, take a look at Killooleet (http://killooleet.com/). It's an 8 week camp run by Kate Seeger and
Dean Spencer that offers a lot of activities and lots of music.

It's a small camp, around 100 kids, with campers from a wide variety of economic backgrounds, campers and staff from lots of different places, and well integrated ethnically.

Although I've been doing some work there for the past 4 years, it only just occurred to me that I could recommend it strongly to mudcatters who want their kids to go to a socially progressive and community oriented camp.

By the way, there are no computers at Killooleet outside of the office.

FYI, for other readers: Vermont, USA

My Mom went to Killooleet in the '30s! She was going to send her daughters there, but when it came time for my older sister to start (in the mid-'60s, they were already full. They referred her to Farm and Wilderness Camps, in Plymouth, Vermont, and we both went there as long as we could. Also wonderful, and very musical. www.fandw.org
