Song Challenge: Bush

27 Mar 05 - 10:54 AM (#1444797)
Subject: Song Challenge: George Bush
From: GUEST,Rikki Tikki

Couldn't find the earlier Bush songs thread, so I'm starting this. Not much of a song writer but I see a need. Huge need.

FOR SONG WRITERS ONLY PLEASE---NOT FOR CRITICS. Critics save your vitriol; go to some other thread.

Asking for songs about the the President. Funny, sad, angry, silly, you name it, the more the merrier. Here is a modest first effort, just to get the ball rolling.
It makes use of one of the better known mondegreens (i.e., the title phrase is not original with me).

I'm not real satisfied with it so if you can suggest better lines, new verses, etc. feel free.

BABOON RISING
Tune: "Bad Moon Rising" John Fogerty/Creedence Clearwater Revival

I see a baboon rising
I see horrors every day
I see Bush in the White House
Bringing death in every way.

CHORUS
Don't go out tonight,
Well, he's bound to take your life
There's a baboon on the rise. (x2)

He's got bombs a-blowing,
He's just mad for rage and ruin,
He's got bad secrets past all knowing,
You better look at what he's doin'.

Hope we live through this four years,
And can undo the damage he has done,
Looks like we're in for a lot more years,
Before this country lays down the gun.

And above all, please submit your own George Bush songs. Maybe we'll get lucky and one will be good enough to break out and do him some damage in return.

I think we should adapt the Captain Hook song -- "Who's the wickedest, evillest, etcetera....". Take a little work but quite feasible.

How about

THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES
Tune: Cat Stevens' "On the Road to Find Out"

By Bob Coltman 2005

The Emperor's new clothes were woven out of air,
The tailor told him proudly, why, they're practically not there,
The Emperor put them on, parading in the sun,
And all the people cried amazed: See what he has on!

CHO: The Emperor's new clothes, how beautiful they are--
They shine upon him like the sun to dazzle us afar--
All but one little boy, playing in the sun,
Cried, Daddy! the Emperor's got no clothes on!

The TV commentators said, that's obviously not true,
Just see his royal raiment, of purple, red and blue,
But the people looked a second time, I heard somebody say,
It's true--the Emperor's as naked as a jay!   CHO

Now someone started laughing, and others joined in too,
Pointing impolitely: I see it now; do you?
Come, children, let's go home, and wash your eyes out clean,
The Emperor's disgusting! The Emperor's obscene!   CHO

Now all the people chortled: How could we sink so low?
The Emperor crept homeward, and packed his bags to go,
He gave one final speech--it made the people wince--
He fled by night (or so they say)--we haven't seen him since!   CHO

Improvisin'...

My name is George Bush, I'll give you a push,
I'll damage your deemocracee!
I'll lie and I'll twist, with the help of Bill Frist,
There's no one so nasty as me!!!

Chor: I'm bad,...I'm bad,...
I'm badder even than my Dad,
If you don't like to kill, just swaller this pill,
And die while I ply my jihad.

When I am done I'll have you on a bun
And Amurka the Beautiful too,
If you disagree, you're a traitor to me,
I'll send you to Guantanamoo.

out of mercy I'll stop there...

Well, I'll probably catch heat from this but here goes:

A BILLION BARRELS OF PERSIAN OIL

Melody: BONNY BUNCH OF ROSES

By Manhattan on the ocean
It was on a fair and pleasant autumn morn
Came dreadful death and carnage
Amongst the towers that line Columbia's shores
I heard a murmur rising
Far above the cries of grief did boil
Conversing with George the Younger
Concerning a billion barrels of Persian oil

When next we saw the President
It was not before the UN on his knee
He asked consent of Congress
And they granted it most cowardly
It was then he took his army
Over ocean, desert, mountain and sea and soil
Saying," We never will return again
Without a billion barrels of Persian oil."

He raised one hundred thousand men
And UN troops for to bear his train
He was so well provided for
He could overlook the world's disdain
And when we got to Baghdad
The insurgence in every street did roil
And Iraqi oil fields burning
He forgot about a billion barrels of Persian oil

Adieu, mother forever
A foreign desert for my dying bed
Shall the eleventh day of September
Be paid in the blood of Iraqi dead
And when this term is over
Will our consciences recoil?
Was the all the death and carnage worth
A billion barrels of Persian oil?

The Boxer   (to the tune of "the Boxer" by Paul Simon)

I am Barbra Boxer so my views are so absurd
I have sqandered by existence on a barrell full of pork bills
such are promises
All lies and jest
I appear so condescending becuase I know what is best

When we lost the house and senate seats
We were angry and annoyed
In the company of losers
With the Kerry, Al Gore, Howard Dean team screaming out
Morals low, seeking out the stupid people
where the voters just don't know
Lying to their faces on which way to go

Lie Lie Lies......

Asking only for appeasement I come looking for some votes
But I get no offers
Just a come on from the whores on Air America
Just do the score, there were bill vote voted once against
And now I voted for

Lie Lie Lies.....

Now I'm spekwing out my rhetoric and wising BUSH were gone
Bring him down
Where the San Francisco votes are supporting me
On their knees, bring him down
In this corner Barbra Boxer and a traitor to us all
And she serves as a reminder for every vote that put her down
And squashed her till she cried out
In her anger she does wail
Condelisa, Condelisa
But the Boxer has just failed

Lie Lie Lies....

STOP BUSH BEFORE HE STOPS YOU

by Bob Coltman 2005

Tune: Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight

On our block all the kids are in Iraq,
The body bags are burstin' full, here they come streamin' back,
While over in Baghdad your own kid is duckin' flak,
You better stop Bush before he stops YOU.

Cho: Stop! Bush! before he kills again,
The body count is climbin', good women and good men,
He's just a Mad! Dog! put him back in his pen,
And stop Bush before he stops YOU.

Oh! the pain! George Bush has gone insane,
He's determined to flush our country down the drain,
And all the right wing Christian nuts will just keep rippin' out its guts,
Unless you stop Bush before he stops YOU.

Bush is after me and my Social Security
The better world I worked for, he wants to steal from me,
He might's well murder me, put me outa my misery,
Unless I stop Bush before he stops ME.

Help! The rich are after our last stitch,
For our one last dime they've got the bloody itch,
They won't be satisfied till we're in formaldehyde
You gotta stop Bush before he stops YOU.

Bush in the Bush
Tune of Turkey in the Straw

Oh, bush in Alaska means some far away place
Removed and remote with lots of empty space
It's fitting that Dubya has that very same name
He plays his cards with lots of empty space
In his head, though his mouth is full of others' words
Most corrupt and deceitful ever I've heard
We need to move him out and into the bush
Where he can join Michael, O'Reilly and Rush

From time to time he rolls the ball
We hear the rumble and we dread his call
He won't be satisfied 'til he has his way
His targets left with nothing but lots of empty space

I don't know if this counts as a song, but I wrote a sonnet in March of 2003 against Dubyah's war:

And so, against all sense, we go to war
How does this help the people, there or here?
We plunge whole populations into fear
Our leaders close the diplomatic door
Which leaves no chance for reason anymore
Shall we stand by and hope the air will clear?
Or simply pray that danger not come near?
Believing all will go on as before?

It is not true that ignorance is bliss
The flying bullet and the falling bomb
Care not if they kill soldier, child or mom
They bring to one and all death's icy kiss
Before it is too late, this war must cease
Instead of hate and anger, we need peace

I started before the votes were all not counted in 2000.
Tune- Hesitation Blues

Well, you take all the votes and you put 'em in a pot
And you lock 'em in a closet, and what have you got?
Tell me how long do we have to wait?
Can we count 'em all now, or must we hesitate?
Some say he won, some say he lost,
Some who didn't even vote are whining at the cost,
    Tell me how long
No some folks say that a judge won't steal,
But I know there were at least five in my corn field
   Tell me...
(and then a bit later...)
What'll happen when it's quiet out in Aff ghan is tan
We'll go to Eye rack and we'll hassle Saddam (I regretted that rhyme too)    Tell me how...
I dunno why Dubya made such a fuss
We knew most of what he had, 'cause he got most of it from us
    Tell me...
Yeah, he was fighting Eye ran, so we gave him gas
But he used it on the Kurds. He was so low class.
    Tell me...

I would invite contributions to this parody on Back Again

Back again, back again, we've got Yale Old-Boy alumni back again.
Don't worry if your grades are thin; if Daddy went here, you'll get in.
We've got Yale old boy alumni back again.

And don't forget Ian McCalman's hilarious comments on the Weapons of Mass Destruction in his song (from McCalmans' CD "Tangled Web"):

W.M.D.
Ian McCalman

We played hide and seek and we counted to 10
We opened our eyes and you were gone again
Now we think you weren't playing fair
We think you were never there

W.M.D (please tell us)
Where did you hide from me (where can you be?)
Tony played because he's oh, so loyal
Greedy little George played for barrels of oil
But the reason we played .. you said we'd see
W.M.D. Where can you be?
W.M.D.

We looked under the sand and up to the sky
The big boys promised and they never, ever lie
Those nice, clean chaps from the CIA, say
"They'll turn up some day" (like Elvis)

W.M.D (please tell us)
Where did you hide from me (where can you be?)
Tony played because he's oh, so loyal
Greedy little George played for barrels of oil
But the reason we played .. you said we'd see
W.M.D. Where can you be?
W.M.D.

George and Tony you've been naughty, little boys
Lying, to steal the other kids' toys
You're so angry, we still want to see
W.M.D.

and

Some say there were reasons enough
We don't like bullies so the going got tough
But the reason we played you said we'd see
W.M.D.

Oh

W.M.D (please tell us)
Where did you hide from me (where can you be?)
Tony played because he's oh, so loyal
Greedy little George played for barrels of oil
But the reason we played .. you said we'd see
W.M.D. Where can you be?
W.M.D. We'd like to see
W.M.D.

Dunno "That's Amore" beyond the fourth line, but seems to me you could do like so:

"THat's Immoral"

When the news hits your eye and you let it go by
That's immoral,
When George Bush tells a lie and winks the evil eye
That's immoral...

Maybe somebody that knows the song could follow up.

On 2nd thought, "That's Amore" could be taken another way, as an indictment of the media:

That's immoral,.
When we believe the lie and elect the wrong guy,
That's immoral...

SEND BUSH TO FIGHT IN IRAQ

Slow and swingy, to the tune
Don't Let Your Deal Go Down
(but with the last line cut short)

Well, here's my foreign policy:
Send Bush to fight in Iraq,
He should go instead of me,
Send Bush to fight in Iraq,
He likes to walk around in uniform,
Send him into the desert storm,
Tell him, George, just don't you come back,
From Iraq.

We've got a president wants a war, Send...
Doesn't know what he's attacking for, Send...
Send him where he will find out
Just what war is all about,
All he's gonna wanta do is get out
Of Iraq.

Now he wants to fight Iran, Send...
Send him right on to Tehran, Send...
Let him draw his one last breath,
Let him die a coward's death,
No rich friends to bring him back
From Iraq.

I've got a bunch of anti-Bush, anti right-wing songs at my website: http://www.yikesmcgee.com

Here's the newest one, it's not on the website yet:

COUP D'ETAT, COUP D'ETAT

We voted on machines
Without a paper trail
Whoever brought us those touch screens
Oughta go to jail

No more hanging chads
No more democracy
What's lost is lost, we have been had
Screwed so thoroughly

Oh, Coup d'etat, coup d'etat
Here we go again
Ohio and Florida
Where cheaters go to win

Coup d'etat, coup d'etat
No one wants to say
That's two elections in a row
They're laughing all the way!

Br.
We're banging on guitars
Banging on the drums
It can't get any worse than this
We voted out the bums!

But Bush is in command
What's next, nobody knows
But all the world is sad and dreary
Everywhere I go.

We've seen it all before
We know what it's all about
He lied to get us into war
He'll lie to get us out

Fooled us one more time
Like no one's keeping score
Election fraud should be a crime
Don't let them do it anymore

Oh, Coup d'etat, coup d'etat
Here we go again
Ohio and Florida
Where losers go to win

Coup d'etat, coup d'etat
No one dares to say
That's two elections in a row
They're laughing all the way

Br.
Welcome to the Dark Ages
Everyone is equal
Except the ones who disagree
With coup d'etat the sequel

The sheep with the wool pulled over their eyes
Bush with his "shock and awe"
They really pulled it off this time
The second coup d'etat
The second coup d'etat
The third millennium's second American coup d'etat

Man from the Whitehouse (to the tune of the Limerick Rake)

I am a young pres that's easy and bold,
From Orlando to Austin I'm very well known;
In the Whitehouse, DC I spent many a note
With Dicky and Toni and Condi.

My voters rebuked me for being such a fake
And spending my time in such frolicsome ways,
But I ne've could forget the good nature of Mr. Hussein,
And you voted me in once again hey.

My parents, they reared me to shake and to sow,
To plough and to harrow, to reap and to mow;
But my heart was too airy to drop it so low,
I set out on a high speculation.

On paper and documents they taught me to sign
And in Eye-raq and grammur they opened my eyes,
But in geo-something-or-rather, in truth, I was bright,
And you voted me in once again hey.

VIETNAM ALL OVER AGAIN
By Bob Coltman
Tune: Ballin' the Jack

Cho:
Oh you load up your gun, you think you'll have fun,
A bomb hits you in your doodle dum dum,
You pinwheel in the air with style and grace
With your intestines draped all over your face,
You're lyin' there in the desert sand,
Beginnin' to think war ain't so grand,
You ain't got the strength of one--let alone ten--
An' it's Vietnam all over again!

1.
The wackos at the top goin' slippety slop,
Laughin' like hell to watch you drop,
Everybody askin', Why, Sir, why?
Oh, I don't know, I like to watch 'em die,
What'd these Iraqis do to me?
They're just like me, as far as I can see,
They say we'll pull out, they don't say when--
And it's Vietnam all over again!

Now they're talkin' 'bout extending the war,
And we still don't know what we're fightin' for,
They call it freedom and democracy,
But where's the freedom and democracy for me?
I'm just a grunt, sent to the front,
To be blunt, it's just a damn witch hunt,
This war is just like heroin--
It's the Vietnam Habit all over again!

And, on a closely related topic (after all, Bushytail's one of them):

WE CAN'T ANY LONGER AFFORD THE RICH
By Bob Coltman
Tune: Strawberry Roan

Cho:
The rich are too heavy for us to uphold,
They bow us down low with the weight of their gold,
On us like horses they love to rise,
And poison us with insecticide,
They built great companies, merchants of death,
To kill us and maim us till our last breath,
And on TV they make such a pitch--
But we can't any longer afford the rich.

1.
The bill is too high, it can't be paid,
Default, default is the game they've played,
They don't care if the banks do fail,
Only the poor will go to jail,
They fly their missiles, they blow up the town,
They seek to flatter us and bewitch,
But we can't any longer afford the rich.

2.
And not content with the billions they've got,
They want the last cent from our old teapot,
They rig the laws to steal from us all,
They drive our parents and kids to the wall,
The only answer's to use their wealth
To bring back our nation to better health,
Let the rich find a smaller niche--
For we can't any longer afford the rich.

It's predictable, isn't it.

The Bush flacks have found this thread and they're trying to torpedo it, just like they have done their best to torpedo Iraq, and human rights, and democracy.

Hate filled political diatribe? (helps if you spell it right). No. That's the Bush defenders' specialty.

Bush defenders like to pretend the majority of Americans are "Bush haters." Not true. The majority of Americans are simply fed up with being smeared, lied to, lied about, suppressed, and made the target of hate speech and hate legislation by Bush and his followers. In other words, they don't hate the man. They hate what he is doing to our beloved country.

Read your history. Quite a few people are beginning to feel in the position of the "good Germans" in the 1930s who were watching their democracy done in by vicious haters of the sort represented in the previous message and could find nothing to do about it.

So. Sorry, your fake victim mentality won't work here.

If I could, I would put this in a song. Maybe someone can.

One more reminder. This is a song thread. This contributor dislikes having to answer arguments in prose form, but someone has to set the record straight.

STICK TO SONGS. Do you want to write a pro-Bush song? Go ahead. Can you?

Has anyone ever noticed how apt the old popsong "The Great Pretender" is? It could almostbe George Bush's theme song.

First I thought it could be aparody, like "Oh yes, I'm the great Dictator. Or "Defender" since thats what he claims to be. But... the song works almost as is. For instance

Oh-oh-oh yes, I'm the great Pretender,
My conscience A-Dubya-O-L,
My need is such I pretend too much
I'm lonely but I'm doing swell,
Oh-oh-oh yes, I'm the great Pretender,
Adrift in a world of my own,
I play the game in a tower of flame
I'm carving my heart out of stone,
Too real is this feeling of make believe
Too real is my spiel, as my prisoners squeal,
Oh-oh-oh yes, I'm the great pretender,
So what if I act like a clown,
I seem to be what I'm not, you see,
I'm breaking my enemies down,
I'm running this merry-go-round

and so on...you'd be surprised how many of those words are from the original!!!

Re songs that don't think much of Bush, Peggy Seeger says she "unfortunately" still has a batch of songs she put on her website way back before the 2004 "election," if you can call it that.

Here's what she says, copied from www.pegseeger.com:

Songs for October 2004
Written, ©, Sung and Played by
PEGGY SEEGER

1. Davy
2. You Men Out There 2004
3. Bush Went to Kyoto
4. Go Easy on Him
5. Cavemen
6. Peaceful Woman, Fighting Hard

E-caution: feminist content
I've put six songs onto an impromptu CD for just the month of October 2004. Including two songs about Bush, one about 9/11, two feminist pieces and one peace song. All of my own composition.

This CD will only be available as long as Bush is in the White House. Hope I don't have to re-name it.

If you want a copy, send $10 (U.S. $$$ please) to me at 3 Woodlawn Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801. If you order 5 or more, the cost is only $8 each.

If you live in the UK, send £7 sterling to 116 Red Lion Lane, London SE 18 4LE, England. Checks to be made out to Peggy Seeger. Be sure and specify that you want the October 2004 Songs CD.

UNFORTUNATELY STILL AVAILABLE

***end of quote from her site***
It would be interesting if someone could scour the Web for more things like this. I bet there's a ton of them out there! Like Yikes McGee above, Peggy S, and...who else?

There is indeed an abundance. If you google the search term "anti Bush songs" you will find such glories as:

Anti-war, anti-Bush and pro-peace songs at:
http://onegoodmove.org/1gm/1gmarchive/000628.html

A huge list of pop and folkpop anti-Bush protest songs at:
http://www.benfrank.net/nuke/Free_Peace_mp3s.html

http://whistleass.typepad.com/boot_george_in_2004/1_antibush_musicfor_fun/

And the ultimate George Dubya Bush Song Book at:
http://servercc.oakton.edu/~billtong/bnsp/bushsong.htm

also check out less well known bands like Burgess Shale, Austin Texas' Happytones, and Thought Travler, which have none too complimentary songs about Bush.

And pages and pages more. These are just a sample. The anti-Bush song industry is steamin', brother.

This may not connect unless you have followed the Jeff Gannon/Guckert "fake reporter"/gay male escort scandal now being actively suppressed by the White House. You can check it out via a number of blogsites, like www.cannonfire.blogspot.com. *

+++++++++++++
"Dubya's In the White House Layin' Low"

to melody of "Adam's In the Garden Pinnin' Leaves"

Oh, Rove, where is Gannon?
Oh, Rove, where is Gannon?
Oh, Rove, where is Gannon?
Gannon's in the White House all night long. [repeat over & over]

First time Gannon called Dubya did the ditty,
Gannon's in the White House all night long.
Next time Gannon called Dubya called him pretty,
Gannon's in the White House all night long.

Next time Gannon called Dubya 'fused to answer,
Dubya's in the White House layin' low.
Next time Gannon called Dubya played the prancer,
Dubya's in the white house layin' low.

But Dubya said I was his prettiest reporter,
Dubya's in the White House layin' low,
Dubya said I was just doin' like I orter,
Dubya's in the White House layin' low.

Oh, Rove, I can't find Dubya,
Oh, Rove, I can't find Dubya,
Oh, Rove, I can't find Dubya,
Dubya's in the White House playin' God.    [repeat over & over]
+++++++

*Cannonfire's commentary in part, clipped from that website:

Why bring a male escort into the White House if not to provide sexual services?
That question answers itself. And just who would use such services?
When Gannon-gate broke, we saw a number of hazily-sourced stories appear, indicating that Karl Rove and Scott McClellan are gay. Were these claims a diversion? Even if the allegations are true -- and I have no overwhelming reason to believe that they are -- these men do not live at the White House. Those who work in that building who are wont to tryst can tryst elsewhere, at some location that does not require secreting a hooker past the Secret Service.
Ask yourself: How many males actually live at the White House?
I can think of only one.

I want a war
Just like the war
That took down dear old Dad,
That was a war,
And the only war
That Daddy ever had,
A good old fashioned war
With lots of death,
I'll defend that war
To my last breath,
Oh, I want a war
Just like the war
That took down dear old Dad.

John Prine does an anti-Bush song on his new CD Fair&Square. It is called 'Some Humans Ain't Human". A spoken interlude goes:

"Have you ever noticed,
When you're feeling really good,
There's always a pigeon,
That'll come shit on your hood?"
"Or you're feeling your freedom,
And the world's off your back,
Some cowboy from Texas,
Starts his own war in Iraq?"

With apologies to L. Frank Baum's "When McKinley Gets the Chair"

WHEN GEORGE BUSH GETS THE CHAIR

When George Bush gets the chair, boys,
There'll be a celebration
Throughout our happy nation
And contentment everywhere!
Great will be our satisfaction
When honest men take action
And clear our nation's air
When George Bush gets the chair!

No more the hordes of war and pain
Will make our nation groan,
No more will honest men alone
Suffer from this bane,
Our good men won't be trembling
At the radicals' dissembling,
'Twill lift our grief and care
When George Bush gets the chair!

When George Bush gets the chair, boys,
The magic word "corruption"
Will cause no more disruption,
Free the workingman from care,
We'll regain the world's respect
When his rich elite is wrecked
And life's made free and fair,
When George Bush gets the chair!

It's not a thread for critics, i understand that..but to tear apart the national anthem of american? and dumbing down a john fogerty song...you guys are ridiculous. Don't call yourself song writers becuase you can ruin other peoples songs by putting some "catchy lyrics" in there. I wont criticize your lyrics, becuase i'm going to guess you're just beginning by the way it sounds, but i will criticize you.

I look at my paycheck
It gets smaller every time
They're taking way too from me
Won't leave me with a dime
It's tax and spend and tax some more
I've got the living in a blue state blues

With Kennedy and Hillary
more insincere each day
Makes me wonder how anyone
can believe anything they say
It's Kennedy and Hillary
I've got the living in a blue state blues

They whine about the White House
and vow they'll take it back
But with Howard Dean runing the party
they must be smokin crack
It's whine and cry and whine some more
I've got the living in a blue state blues

They say that Fox is slanted
run by biased businessmen
I can only laugh at them
Do they ever watch CNN?
They say that Fox is slanted
I've got the living in a blue state blues

Seems GUEST, above, doesn't understand, or perhaps doesn't like, parody. Anything is fair game for parody.

The parody doesn't have to be as good as the original, in fact it is unlikely to be. Doesn't matter; parody is still worthwhile.

And let's face it, all contributors are doing what they can with what they have. Who can do better? Go ahead, if you can. You're invited, whether you're pro or con.

Protest song often uses parody because the melodies are already familiar to lots of people -- makes a shortcut. Sometimes it also comments on the original. That's how The Sweet Bye and Bye turned into Pie In the Sky (Preacher and the Slave). That's how "Ten Thousand Miles Away" turned into "A Capital Ship."

Few of us can hope to reach such heights in parody. Most parodies are lesser works. But it makes sense to aspire. This thread is a tryout camp, the way I see it. Spring training. The season opens...when?

Parody doesn't have any sacred cows, it's true. Maybe that offends some people. But, you know, Sacred Cows eventually perish just like Real Cows do. The answer is to make Sacred Hamburger beforehand.

As for whether song contributors above have done justice to John Fogerty, or to the National Anthem, well, it's a matter of opinion. Why should either be off limits? 'Nuff sed.

More power to you, parodists! Keep up the good work.

I can heartily recommend the George and Julius website. They're doing good political songs, and have recorded two CDs about Bush called "Hail to the Thief" I and II.

It's a labor-oriented duo of songwriters, one young, one elderly union man who's really seen it all. And they sure have a point of view on President Bush.

THE BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLICANS

~ Feel free to sing along! ~

Mine Eyes have seen the bungling of that stumbling moron Bush,
He has blathered all the drivel that the neo-cons can push,
He has lost sight of all reason 'cause his head is up his tush,
The Doofus marches on.
I have heard him butcher syntax like a kindergarten fool,
There is warranted suspicion that he never went to school,
Should we fault him for the policies -- or is he just their tool?
The lies keep piling on.

Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya!
Glory! Glory! What's It To Ya!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya!
His wreckage will live on.

I have seen him cut the taxes of the billionaires' lone heir,
As he spends another zillion on an aircraft carrier,
Let the smokestacks keep polluting - do we really need clean air?
The surplus is now gone.

Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya!
Glory! Glory! What's It To Ya!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya!
Your safety net is gone!

Now he's got a mighty hankerin' to bomb a prostrate state,
Though the whole world knows it's crazy, and the U.N. says to wait,
When he doesn't have the evidence, "We must prevaricate," or
Diplomacy is gone!
Oh, a trumped-up war is excellent; we have no moral bounds,
Should the reasons be disputed, we'll just make up other grounds,
Enraging several billions -- to his brainlessness redounds,
The Doofus marches on!

Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya!
Glory! Glory! What's It To Ya!
Glory! Glory! How he'll Screw Ya!
THIS .... DOOOO .... FUSS .... MAR...CHES....ON!
