Hi there and welcome to Spring and the all new Wednesday look

Folk sing/tune arounds on the 6th and 20th April

Blues/contemporary session on the 13th and 27th

The middle area is now non smoking with signs on wall and flowers?

Many thanks to all who voted for the Bull in the Folk awards - I must admit I didn't, as I've made a right pigs asre of it this last year

Blue Anchor in St Albans the 5th April, Finbars/white horse in Dunstable on 11th, Ampthill new & improved on Tuesdays/Redbourn & Bedford on Thursdays/John Breeze at the St Albans British Legion Fridays and Sundays - so you've no excuse

Oh & Wild Willy Barrett waves his thing about at the Norman King every Wednesday

Very informative Ross. Any news on "The Hertfordshire Day of Song"? It does not seem to be avertised in "The Unicorn" which is also a winner in "The Mudcat Awards" Thankyou for all who voted for it. I did 100 times.

No - I haven't heard anything about the day of song

Isn't it Life & Times led?

Special celebrity is running the session on Wednesday - it's a mystery

Bert's joined the Texas Rangers and is on his way to the Alamo

YeeeeHa boy. See you Tues and Wed. Yes Barry Goodman normally runs it, but I have not heard of anything of it this year so far. Might have to do something about that, cos it is a great Mudcat gathering place.

Barry said they have all ready had it. On March 5th. He e mailed everyone in January. Nothing on The Mudcat and nothing in the Mudcats best folk magazine "The Unicorn" either. Well nothing I saw anyway.

Hi Martin - sorry I wasn't at Blue Anchor - I've not been feeling very well, so I've been limiting my trips out

There was a big birthday party in the Bull back bar last night, so we got upgraded

Glad to hear Willy was good - I remember seeing him numerous times in the 70's with John Otway

I can't get anywhere on Sunday - have a good time - you are doing a grand job supporting everyone

Cheers everyone - I'm sure I'll get right in my head one of these days

I wish I lived in St Albans

Life seemed to be so easy when I was at the Building College, with bands on at the Civic every Saturday and 80+ pubs to imbibe in

Anybody remember STACKRIDGE - they were on a lot in the 70's - the army song with chorus - hands off cocks and on with socks
