Enjoy it! Unfortunately I'm too far away to comply with your request ... :-) Another time, perhaps.

For those of you who are wondering, as was I,:

"The Girvan Institute of Technology works to foster and facilitate the creation and growth of high-technology businesses. The institute was established in 2002 and is a California non-profit, public-benefit corporation, tax-exempt under federal and state regulations. Girvan headquarters is located in the heart of Silicon Valley."

Have a nice holiday Davetnova

Jeeze!---They hijacked Irvine and stuck it in Orange County [even half-inched Fullerton in the process]. And Afton turned up in Wyoming! Now we find Girvan disappearing over the Big Pond. Time we nailed Ayrshire firmly to the Southern Uplands!

Our school used to go on a train-day-out to Girvan every year.
There used to be snogging on the way home, as I recall.

All right, so I'm going to be the only van on the campsite this year!
I am easily recognised, I will be the quiet, subdued, well behaved, sober person.
That should make me dead easy to find.

Great festival again: thanks to all the hard-working crew who put it together. Will definitely be back next year, if only because my pal carted off a large proportion of the silverware which has to be returned.
Got my mini-disc back too: it was under the seat at the Academy!

Great as ever!!!!! Great mix of booked performers!Congrats to Maggie! Lots of "Girvan Virgin's" which seemed to be the phrase of the weekend. We were stewarding in the Catholic Hall which was smashing. Look out for a wee lass called Laura kenny, she was superb. Highlights? Loads..Spiers, Shepherd and Watson, Jim Bainbridge, Roisin White. Ally Macrae singing Franz ferdinand crossed with george Formby...we are still giggling over that one. I missed my now traditional fish tea at Funnia's as I wasn't too well and no it wasn't the drink either

Ahhhh Moniaive on Saturday!!!!!

And what about the "Nine stone toy boy" and "Does your brown ale lose its flavour in the bedpan overnight?" or "Nellie the Elephant" sung to the tune of "The Dark Island"? Just a few gems of the weekend!
