17 Dec 98 - 09:21 PM (#49985) Subject: Winter Solstice Wishes From: To all of my friends, enemies, well-wishers and cursers on the Mudcat, I wish a pleasant passage through the Winter Solstice, however you may celebrate this time of year. Two messages that carry through the 'Cat are peace to all and love for one's fellow humans. I do believe music can soothe "the savage breast" (I think that is the correct quote). May the music that soars quietly through the Mudcat and out minds as we discuss lyrics, tunes, origins of songs, politics, philosophy, and diverse ideas, soothe and enrich us all. I would like to especially thank, Max, Susan, Dick and Joe who in their various ways keep this site rolling along. I have grown to feel very close to many people whom I have not yet met.
