Wonderful singer of sea songs, teller of tales, and multi-instrumentalist Bob Zentz will be drifting northward for a concert evening at the Island Institute on Friday, August 12, at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $10, and seating is limited. The Institute is located at 386 Main Street in Rockland. Hope some of you Maineiacs can join us for what promises to be a special evening!
Kathy

Guess all my fellow Mainers are still sleeping off the effects of Sinsull's lobster fest from last weekend. Hope when you wake up you'll come hear Bob!

Listen up, people! Go hear Bob Zentz! He's amazing! Incredible musician, wonderful repertoire and a heck of a nice guy, to boot!

Alas, it's a Friday night and Tom and I have another commitment.

Wish we could be in two places at once!

Kath-

But we're back from Nova Scotia (actually in between NS and BC) and we should be able to make it. Be great to hear Bob again and thanks for posting this notice.

The concert location is actually at 386 Main St.?

Could you reserve JudyB and myself 2 tickets?

This will be a good concert. I remember when we were still running the Rockport Folk Festival he delivered a very enjoyable performance. Sorry I can't be there on the 12th; no money for concerts these days. ;(

We have fond memories of the concert Bob gave earlier this year at the Press Room in Portsmouth. In addition to his own fine songwriting, Bob is becoming well known for his musical adaptations of the poems of Cicely Fox Smith.

Bob's arrived in Maine and is looking forward to an enthusiastic audience of chorus-singers and sea song enthusiasts. Should be a terrific evening. Hope to see some of my fellow Mudcat Maineiacs there!

Wish I could be there. Hi, Bob! Kathy, give him a hug from me. Hope to see you soon Bob. Ok, everyone in Maine should show up for this concert especially if you haven't heard him.

Have a wonderful time.

And if you get here early (like before 5:00), check out the new show of Gordon Bok's woodcarvings at the Harbor Square Gallery next door. Great stuff! Cheers.

Kathy-

Thanks for organizing this special concert. I was great to hear Bob sing again and nice to meet some of our musical friends from the Rockland/Camden area.

I would hope that the Island Institute would host more concerts like this.

I was disappointed that Bob didn't offer to auction off at the end of his concert some of the 12 instruments he brought with him and played.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble
