It's a shame. But frankly, I always wondered how she got away with it so long. I could understand the record companies leaving her alone as long as she was posting only songs that couldn't be obtained in commercial recordings--but nowadays almost everything is available somewhere. |

Music diversity is certainly facing a real challenge. I certainly hate to see sites like this that allow folk to listen to what they want to hear or to sample music not readily available disappear. The loss of this site will leave a gaping hole in American culture. |

See esp. DIMA Rulemaking, where actions against file sharers are spelled out, and look at the action against Xact, etc. No mention of Record Lady anywhere that I could find. |
