From: UncleToad I was watching Ovation on TV the other night and was entranced by a British group by the name of "Tiger Lillies". A bit strange by any measure...falsetto lead singer playing accordian with a bass player and drums. A most enjoyable tune was Flying Robert and I would like to find a copy of this song without buying an album...any ideas? Thanks to all 'catters, Uncle(GottaHaveIt!)Toad |

I saw them on the ABC I think. The accordion was a small size and had their name on it. Continental Cabaret style - think 1930's German was some of teh style they were doing then. I would like to get some of their stuff too. |

From: Mark Cohen At Princeton University there have been two close harmony singing groups for decades: the Tigertones and the Nassoons. (The latter were named for Nassau Hall, the original building of the College of New Jersey, which now holds administrative offices). When Princeton became coed in 1969 (the year before I started there), a new group quickly arose: the Tigerlilies. I don't know if they're still around. There is a CD (I have it in my hand) called "Shockheaded Peter: A Junk Opera." Released in 1998 or '99 on MVC Arts label, a Warner Music Group Company. "Flying Robert" is on the album. |

It is based on the Shock-headed Peter book, but is if anything more gruesome and violent than the original. |
