Hiya me old folkies. If you've nowt on on't Sat 10 Sept why not try to get to The Folk Day at The Sair Inn, HoyleIng,Linthwaite, Huddersfield. From 1.00pm till 11.oopm. This annual event includes Morris Dancers,Musician Sessions and Sing-Arounds till late into the night. The Sair Inn is over 300 years old and is a micro -brewery with 10 home brewed beers and stouts on hand pump, as well as Krombacher Lager and Westons Cider. With 4 distinct and seperate rooms The Sair is ideal for hosting seperate sing-arounds/play-arounds. This event keeps growing each year and more and more folk singers and musicians are saught each year to keep the proceedings lasting through the night.Come prepared for a full day out!
The Sair is a place to be lost in and last out. Free food available to "entertainers" during the day and you can order your favourite take-away meals to eat in situ at night. For more info or if you want to find somewhere to stay over night Tel me on 01484 641920.
