A prominent contributor to the cultural community, Joe was an icon in the world of acoustic music, bringing creative, talented performers from all parts of the country for the enjoyment and cultural enrichment of our community. A group of Joe's friends has formed and organization to continue Joe's work. Friends of Joe is a not for profit organization dedicated to continuing Joe's mission of providing quality entertainment in a wholesome, family friendly environment. This season Friends of Joe is presenting a monthly series of concerts, September through January, highlighted in February, by a Tribute to Joe at the Historic Polk Theater in beautiful downtown Lakeland. The concert series is already booked for the rest of the year and we look forward to 2006 being even bigger than this year. This concert series is the best kept secret in Polk County Florida.
