(I expect this thread to die very quickly in this community. But then again, I may be surprised.)

Here's your chance......I'd like to know.

I had a hernia last year. As far as I can tell Shrub had nothing to do with it. But this year - to quote our president - I'm "more better".

Nothing is Bush's fault. Bush is just a puppet. It's all Cheney's fault.

I don't believe he has been blamed (yet) for the extinction of the dinosaurs or the death of Abraham Lincoln.

Bush may just be the best damn mandolin player on the planet!!! If not the best, surely the most enjoyable. I love that man.

John - That's SAM Bush - not George Bush.

From: John Hardly

Oh ..... I don't know ....

I'm pretty sure that Sam is a better mandolin player than George. Now, if you're talking Jethro, then maybe you'd have an arguement -- except that would be "Burns" not "Bush".

...and if you were talking about "Burning Bush", well, that would be Moses. I mean the real, original Moses, not Amos Moses who was a cajun who could eat up his weight in groceries. And I'm pretty sure that Moses didn't play mandolin.

It is confusing, isn't it, John. You can tell them apart though- Sam is the cute, talented one.

Oh! Just to share- last night Jay Leno remarked that the National Enquirer, that trusty rag, has reported that Bush - NOT the cute one - is drinking again and he said, 'You mean- those decisions he made before- he was sober??

The pretzel?

Seriously, I blame him for allowing himself to be used by corporate oligarchists who care nothing for the United States and its citizens, but only for their percentage of market share and their bottom lines. The rest is history.

Sounds like beating around the Bush to me.

Pocket English Idioms defines it this way:
You are "beating around the bush" when you talk about things indirectly, not stating exactly what you mean. Example: "Why don't you just come out and say what you want to say? Stop beating around the bush." When you ask questions or hint at things without being clear about what you mean, you are beating around the bush. Example: "If you want to ask me, just ask; don't beat around the bush." Example: "We haven't talked about it directly; we've been beating around the bush."
If you want a lot of good examples of beating around the bush, listen to one of Georgie's speeches or press conferences,

Damned thing is, I didn't. Honest. I slept alone on a friend's bed. Boarded a train about three hours later. Two weeks passed and they hatched in FLORIDA while I was taking a hot bath. If I'd come by them honestly it'd be a different story.

Bush is not to blame for the fact that a large number of people were blind, lazy and/or foolish enough to vote for them, although I doubt we will ever know what that number actually is. He is not to blame for the many buttons he found to push on American citizens, causing them to react in a frenzy of moblike militant ignorance like so many castrated pitbulls. None of this was his doing. Nor is it his fault that Barbara got pregnant when she did with him, although I have no idea which dog was to blame for it.

It isn't Bush's fault that our dogs are total couch potatoes. It's my Mother's fault! (I mean, about the dogs...well, and maybe the lack of confidence too...)

Castrated Pitbulls?

If anything the sort of folks that are acting like pitbulls here should be castrated! Unfortunately they are still out there biting and then bumping like bunnies here at home to provide the next generation of cannon fodder for the "war on terror" against the "axis of evil".

Actually he has lately revealed that neither the war in Afghanistan nor the war in Iraq qas his fault. he was just carrying out instructions from God. No joke. God told him to do those things, so of course, he had no choice in the matter. Everyone knows that's how God operates, right?
