A certain pair of local mountain dwellers (sounds better than "f#$%ing hippies", doesn't it?) are promoting their CD. Now, I've got to say, singing recipes left me somewhat doubtful, but I bought a CD anyway (well, one of the singers is 4' 10" in his heels, and 7 stone sopping wet!) and guess what? It is musically a brilliant piece of work - an interesting range of musical styles, and very well produced. Congratulations, folkies! And what does Mudcatland think of the idea of singing recipes? Now, being a sensitive soul, I am appalled that you would suggest that Rich-Joy would hijack an academically-oriented folkophilosophical site like this for the crass purpose of advertising her wares (no, the CD ... do try and keep up). No matter how excellent the lyrics, how catchy the tunes, I am horrified that you would think I would lower myself to take part in a promotion of what is, possibly, a unique feat in the history of CD production.
