Going to NERFA?

This is an invitation to any Mudcatter who will be going to NERFA
this coming weekend -

My radio co-host Bill Hahn and I will be hosting a Private Showcase at NERFA this year (they call it "private", but EVERYONE who attends NERFA is invited!).   It was 25 years ago when I started the weekly program and we thought it would be fitting to throw a little party at NERFA and use it as an opportunity to showcase some wonderful talent.

We are honored to have some incredible artists in the lineup, musicians that we feel represent the diverse playlist that we strive to present every week on the show.

WFDU-FM's TRADITIONS 25TH ANNIVERSARY SHOWCASE, will be held on Friday evening November 11 in Conference Room C (one of the Tricentric Rooms) beginning around midnight.

Our lineup:

Modern Man -       12 midnight
Debra Cowan -       12:20am
Chuck Mitchell -   12:40am
Joe Jencks -    1:00am
Pat Wictor -          1:20am
Antje Duvekot -    1:40am
Red Molly -          2:00am

Bill and I hope to see you there! We even have some chatchkes to give out!

Hello Ron,

I'll be heading down with my manager and hopefully will be able to bring my guitar across the border. This will be our first time at NERFA and we are both looking forward to it. (I didn't even know it existed until Paul Mills told me about it.)

I just hope I am able to contend with the late nights.

Hopefully I'll have a chance to meet you there.

Cheers,

Dan

I am sure we will run into each other Dan! NERFA is a wonderful experience. There are usually about 600 people who attend, but somehow it still manages to maintain a close intimate atmosphere. Are you doing any showcases? Look forward to seeing you!

Hello Joe,

I'm really looking forward to that intimate feeling and just sharing music with anyone I can as well as lending a hand or a voice. As far as showcases go... no I haven't got one but I'll be joining in wherever possible. We're hoping to arrive Thursday evening and go from there and see what happens. In case you don't know what I look like I'll be playing a Gallagher guitar. I've had it for longer than my son's been around.

If you'd like to find out a little more about me you can fine me at :

(I've attempted to make a link but I haven't got the hang of that yet. )

Anyway, please walk up and say hello and if I haven't got guitar in hand I'll be sure to talk. Once I get started....

Looking forward to meeting you.

Cheers,

Dan

I have played your CD Dan, and I've seen your picture so I should be able to find you!   Also, we all will have badges with our names on them.   Make sure you look for "Ron", not "Joe"!
