my radio show...2 hours of water music

I played music on the theme of water yesterday on my show.
It was raining, and the station was off the air for weeks
in December due to rain.
(Sorry i forgot to post a link for mudcats...my show is on the
second saturday of each month from 2-4 pacific time
KRBS is on the web thru live 365 www.radiobirdstreet.org)

Any way there were 2 songs i would have liked to include,
but could not find...
Water bound and I can't get home..
and Muddy Water (which was posted on the hurricane music
thread by Sandy, big Chuck, attirbuted to Phil Rosenthal
and Seldom Scene--did that get added to the Digi Trad?)

Mamma, take the baby, river's risin'...

But i did play songs from several mudcatters!!
Amos, Ian and Marilyn, Jed Marum, Mary Garvey, Deb Cowan,
Chantey Ranger, Radriano, Reggie Miles (on Tom Lewis's c.d.)
and more@!!

I included songs about rain, rivers, oceans, lakes,
ships, boats, and disasters---two hours full.

On the Crossroads show in Feb. I plan to do love songs..
or maybe broken heart songs...

i will try to post an invitation and reminder a few days before.

Laurel

Hi Open Mike I was a member of a trio Called Waterbound and our one CD of course has the song on it. If you pm me with your address I'll send you a copy or maybe you're going to Rainy Camp?

Hey open mike!

Thanks for the spins and streams! I would have loved to listen in but I just noticed this post. Next month I'll be there. Have you a means to archive these shows for those of us who were slow to catch this info before your show aired? (Like me!) I'm glad to hear that you are on the web.

I hope you found a copy of "Katrina Blues" to play. It's one of my newest and, if all goes well, will soon be included in a documentary about the aftermath. You can go to my EZ Folk site to find a downloadable copy of this one.

Here's a link. (I hope)

Fond memories of an impromptu evening to celebrate the renovation of the fountains at my old co-op. I have a tape somewhere of two hours of water music and songs. Everything from The Blue Danube to Three Little Fishes.
