Tomorrow? Shite! If you posted a day or two ago, I could have made it. But, it would take me whole day just to swim acorss the pond! I guess I'll have to be satisfied with my CD's.

Have a nice evening

Oakley in his LongJohns is not a sight I would willing wish to see, and the things he is alleged to do with his whelks are not suitable for a web-site such as this. More your www.swedishwhelkjuggling.com or www.whelknursesinuniform.com

Hey Pistachio...how could you have a pleasant evening because Oaklet took his boots off? It's a wonder his whelks didn't fall out of the legs of his longjohns!

Anyway, whelks, longjohns and foot fetishism to one side, I'd like to thank that Linda Kelly for doing a thread which really should have been about them Hissyfit lads. They was ace, as was the lovely singer who accompanied himself on the harp. I dunno how we were, I was too busy enjoying myself in a quiet way.

The Cottingham club, we were told has been well-supported for all its 25 years. Not that I'd know as I am far too young but I ain't surprised.

So for all the nice comments about what we sometimes do in the evenings and weekends - huge thanks. And if you get a chance - do go and see Hissyfit (despite the fact that they keep begging me to sing with them).

That's not a very good recommendation ........ you ain't bad, does that mean he's good ........... or he's bloody awful ?

Even after your exposure over the last few years to me and the other 'ully gullies Raggy,I see you still do not understand the 'ull quirkiness and understatement of compliment.

For a 'ull person to say "you ain't bad" is praise of the highest order.

and 'you ain't 'alf bad' is the ultimate compliment.
(Which applied to all parties last night at Cottingham.) Thanks, folks, for a great evening.

If an overtheponder can contribute to this discussion, I'd have to say that the 3 CDs I have of the wonderful Cara group are among my favorites, and I hope someday to be able to see them live. Is Oakley live?

I received my CDs yesterday. Right proper they would arrive on St. Pat's.

Oaks is very (a)live on my puter right now, playing "The Second of May" from "Asleep Behind the Settee". What an absolutely beautiful tune! These guys ARE talent.

Anyone doesn't have the CDs, well, you don't know what you are missing. http://www.carasmusic.com/ is undergoing an upgrade, but still worth a visit.

"...what we sometimes do in the evenings and weekends..." ??? Oak, if you were around these here parts, you'd be trying to get a few nights and weekends off.

Can't wait for the new CD, which may come out this summer.

I don't want to embarrass the lads, but, amongst my large and varied collection of Celtic music, I own very few albums of which I can say I like each and every tune. I now have three more.
