What's the tune like? And what can you tell us about George Herbert? Cheerily, Charley Noble |

You may have heard me sing this Jeri, but it's not one I do often, I don't know of anyone one else that does it though. Next time ask me (ya know I'll forget otherwise) be happy to do it for you. Charlie about George Herbert. I we met will I was lending a hand on a restoration in 79. He was a Cape Horner in his younger days. But it'd probably need a thread if you'd want? Barry |

21 Mar 06 - 07:10 PM (#1699723) Subject: RE: Lyr Add: Albertina From: Barry Finn Hi Eric I believe that the last verse was missing before. I had a few tapes of George, the first few was of a party in the hold of a brig & the 2nd few he sent 15yrs later. This was from the 2nd few which I just recently reviewed after setting up my antique tape player. I'm planning on recording & wanted to include some of the songs I got from George & came up with more than what I remembered. I also came up with a complete(I think) Cook On A Bark), When My Spell Is Over, Good Ol Brig (which was complete) & There Nothing To Equall A Life On The Sea. Barry |
