BBQ 18th June (UK)

Well it's that time of year again. Despite the loss of the master brewer the summer event is on. (Yes I know it coincides with Alcester & Arden, but with the amount of events over the summer months it was bound to coincide with something)I have 10 gallons of beer brewing (keep your fingers crossed) Same format as usual, bring your voices, your instruments and something to burn on the barbie. I'll provide bread, salads etc. For details on how to get there refer to last years' thread. All catters welcome

Hi Linda

We will be at Alchester (I'm running sings) so can't make it. Just to wish you all the very best on your first solo venture.

Hi Linda,

See you then

No need for extra potato salad. They won't eat it, well, James might, but Ben won't eat veggies or salad, and only certain fruit.

Thanks Linda for a pleasant afternoon. You obviously put a lot of hard work into preparation for awhat is always a first class folk BBQ. Thanks for all the lovely food, beer and entertainment. Billericky Dickie by Melodeon boy was the best song of the day and we are looking forward to hearing that, and more around the knockholt campfire.

Melodeon Boy's rendition of 'Why is it always Dairylea?' is another to behold. I hope to hear that at Knockholt

Many thanks, Linda, I had a great afternoon.

The beer was excellent although a bit stronger than I'd expected. I was actually in a bit of a haze by the time I did "Billericay Dickie" (it probably helped!).

Sorry we could not get there Linda, Billy cleared the shed out ready for next Sat party, and after two trips to the local tip it was 4.o pm the traffic going past the end of the lane was horrendous , the weather had changed and they were all heading back from the beach early, so we would have made it to you by midnight!!
Glad you all had a wonderful time , see you soon

It was a great day with a lovely warm evening. The last ones left about 10pm, and we've still got a few pints of the weaker beer left. That will go to Knockholt!! For those of you who smelt the gas leak, I've had the gas man round and has condemned the cookeruntil it's fixed so it's BBQ's for the forseeable future. Offers for dinner accepted!!
