21 May 06 - 08:37 PM (#1745044) Subject: BS: Obit: Lou Gordon From: Tannywheeler Lou Gordon died near the end of March. He was a Union rep. (local 107, IBPSPMW {International Brotherhood of Pulp, Sulphite, and Paper Mill Workers}); member of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade in Spain; member of the US Army unit which went into Dachau(I think, or Auschwitz maybe); friend of Paddy & Tom Clancy; booker for folk performers in a Greenwich Village theater; one of the founders of the Woody Guthrie Children's Fund; and Hally Wood's second husband. Made him my stepfather--he adopted me at age 4. I was Cynthia Gordon, for a time. His memorial service was Saturday, May 20, in Poughkeepsie, NY. If anyone found themselves there for any reason, please tell me how it went. He was 91 years old when he died. Long, useful, interesting life. Tw |

Tannywheeler, I do hope you turned on a tape recorder machine while he was here! All the best to you who were close to him. Art Thieme |
