Any Catters going to be at the folk festival at Glen Echo Park west of Washington, D.C. this coming Saturday???

I'll be there and will be playing with the Archie Edwars Blues Foundation folks from 12:00 to 1:00 so if yer gonna be there wither as performers or other stop by and say, "Hey"...

Hey Bobert:

As you know, the All New Genetically Altered Jug Band plays right after Archie's from 1:00 to 2:00 Pm. I'll be in the audieance for part of the Barbershop performance, but need to set/warm up for our time on stage.

Are you going straight to Glen Echo, or meeting at the Barbershop first. Last Saturday, Jim was saying that some people are meeting at the Barbershop at either 9 or 10 (I can't remember, you may want to give him a call).

The rest of the time, I'll be out under the trees.

well, I'll be there in the crafts building (see the listing in the crafts clicky in the above link). I have attended every WFF since 1977 and I think we put on a FINE show.

Come by and say hello and go "ohhh, ahhh", as I can't get away to hear much music. *deep sigh*...

We'll be there. I was raised going to this festival and it's still my favorite - 8 stages of music, dance and stories, all volunteer, all local, all free. Thanks to the Folklore Society of Greater Washington for keeping it going all these years.

From the mid-to-late 80's to the mid 90's I helped put this festival on (as part of the "operations crew"), but I never performed at it. But I'm pleased (and rather proud) to say that this Saturday my daughter will be performing on the Storytelling Stage, as part of the "Twinbrook Tellers". Needless to say, I will be there!
