Tech: Are there good music blogs out there?

The net is a wild place and an awesome playground for geeks who are interested in the latest technology, and for people who love to see videos of people breakdancing or crashing a motorcycle.
But, what about music blogs? it seems that if musicians were out there, be they classical or pop, that were successful professionals and blogged about their job, i would eat the shit up. sorry for my profanity. but, i really would love to hear from a Philharmonic orchestra percussionist on how the music feels to play and what it's like to perform. i would be in awe.
so, am i just crazy, it seems like resources are out there and i can't find them. HELP!?!!
even blogs or websites on instruments and music that arn't just pushing something to sell, but really get involved in the music scene world wide.
