11 Jul 06 - 05:04 PM (#1781281) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: Jeri Yes. If an out of towner needs a bed for the Irish Lobsterthon, let me know. After all, I only live about 2.5 hours away and I usually don't drink that much. I also could set up a tent, but I might worry a bit about animal excretions. |
11 Jul 06 - 06:01 PM (#1781342) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: Jeri ONE point five hours!!! I was in a hurry to post because I had to shut down due to a thunderstorm that spronked my circuit breaker! |

20 Jul 06 - 05:09 AM (#1788029) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: bfdk Sinsull, did you get my mail regarding the weekend 11-13 August? Best wishes, Bente |
20 Jul 06 - 09:24 AM (#1788169) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: Charley Noble "Clean sheets available"? Aren't you planning to use them as tablecloths? We're stuck in Richmond helping coordinate Richmond Day activities. 6 pm features the duct tape fashion show competition; maybe you should consider a field trip into deepest darkest Maine. 20 Jul 06 - 09:57 AM (#1788189) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: SINSULL No email, Bente. Will the Denmark contingent be in attendance? Linn will be thrilled - strange fish dishes in sour cream! My uncle was from Sweden. Poor man lived on apple pie and coffee for weeks until someone took pity on him and helped him order a meal. Uncle Rudy famous for "Keep your fingers out of the peas!" |
20 Jul 06 - 10:15 AM (#1788210) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: bfdk Must have gotten the e-mail wrong somehow.. Hope you get the PM, then. Dunno, I could bring some pickled herring, only I think it's on the list of items NOT to try to smuggle into the USA, not just because it's vile stuff in itself, but also because it's "animal" - sort of.. Would Gammel Dansk and Aalborg Snaps serve as a suitable replacement? :o) Best wishes, Bente |
20 Jul 06 - 10:19 AM (#1788214) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: SINSULL Pickled Herring was forced down my throat every New Year's Eve for luck...until I was big enough to fight back. Then I only had to smell it. Linn actually likes the stuff. Booze is always preferable to food. This is exciting Bente! See you in August! Mary |
20 Jul 06 - 12:51 PM (#1788348) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: John MacKenzie I love pickled herring. G. |
21 Jul 06 - 12:23 PM (#1789168) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: Bat Goddess Linn loves pickled herring -- all varieties. I like pickled stuff -- beef heart & tongue, various vegetables, etc. I like smoked stuff, too -- eels, fish. Must be my Teutonic heritage. Aqavit (especially if it's been kept in the freezer and is the 100+ proof variety) is a fine accompaniment. This go-round, though, I'm bringing the requested shortbread, which I'll have to whip up tomorrow morning before I head out yardsaling. Provided it's not raining or something, in which case I'll make the shortbread in between cleaning things out of the cellar. This is the regular just sugar, flour and butter shortbread, not the sherry & blackpepper thins which I'll get around to making again one of these days. Linn |
21 Jul 06 - 12:45 PM (#1789185) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: Jeri I like pickled herring, especially in sour cream with onions. I'd probably like eyeballs in sour cream with onions. (In case you have a source for eyeballs, I'm just kidding.) I have time to plan something food-wise, and think I'll look for something cool and refreshing...or maybe just some gin and some tonic. Linn, would you e-mail or PM me the recipe for the sherry & black pepper thingies? Mary, may I have the room with the air conditioner? Thanks. |
21 Jul 06 - 12:47 PM (#1789186) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: jacqui.c I'm just now making eggplant parmagiana. |
21 Jul 06 - 01:07 PM (#1789199) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: Jeri I have to go buy some non-clothes. I have the usual folkie mu-mu (tie died baggy dress), and some stuff for excercizing that's actually too warm or obscene for party wear. I don't really want to go naked because SOMEBODY will have a camera, but I only have one pair of shorts. Then again, didn't someone mention 'toga' a while back? Sheets, I got! |
21 Jul 06 - 05:48 PM (#1789406) Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's From: SINSULL I hate to do this at the last minute but I am not feeling well. Sorry guys but you don't want to be around me right now, I promise. SINS |
