Ron Hynes was presented with a "Life Achievement Award" by the St. John's Folk Arts Council. Many musicians were up on stage and sang songs written by him. Ron then thanked everyone then sang a song yet to be released title "This House". I do not lie in saying that it brought tears to my eyes. If there are sentimental listeners out there get his most recent c/d if you like to cry in your beer/wine/smoke/lines/ or what ever. Beer |

Pizza Experts - I've eaten pizza from Nain, Labrador to Boston... best pizza ever was in St. John's, NF... mighta been the Screech. Or the Old Sam. Or the Black 'orse. I did George Street a couple of times. I've been screeched in a couple of times before so I didn't take advantage this time. Was at Chess's for their scoff. starting to get expensive though. Had a wonderful time. Got to start saving to go back. Beer |
