From: Gwenzilla Friday morning, 18 August, I leave London to take a train-ferry combination to Dublin, where I get on another train to Kilkenny. For the next week, I'll be at the Scoil na gCláirseach in Kilkenny. What folky activities should I be on the lookout for in the evenings? Are there any quiet/slow sessiuns in Kilkenny that don't mind harpers (I promise not to bring the whole Scoil) or singers? |

I saw Tom Russell there a few months back . Apparently it's a regular good gig house . Not sure about sessions though. Either way enjoy yourself |

There's plenty of music, but mostly by a band, and often rock, or 'Country and Irish'. Our experience is that sessions are much easier to find in the West. We'd like to know of sessions for when we visit. Stu |
