Hello everybody. I went on Broadband this week at last and joined Mudcat last night. Some of you know me personally and hopefully now know me virtually. It`s good to have caught up with technology at last.

Welcome. I've spent many an idle hour here myself and have enjoyed much of it. There are certainly worse alternatives for escapism than Mudcat.

Welcome to this eclectic band of layabouts. Most of them are amateur layabouts, but there is also a band of professional layabouts here known as Lane, Fielding, Patterson, & Swan, Layabouts at Large and for Hire. If you are like many here, your life is very busy and you have little time for laying about. For a very reasonable fee, LFPS will be more than happy to come to your home, eat your food, drink whatever ale you have around, lay on your furniture, watch your telly, scratch, grunt, make all sorts of bodily function noises and smells, ..... in general just do the laying about you don't have time to do. Remember our motto ...... It's the least we can do!

Welcome to Mudcat.

All the best,

Mick Lane

Wow it`s great to meet so many people all at once, and I don`t even have to travel hundreds of miles anymore. This could become addictive. By the way yes Llantrisant has been a wonderful sunny place today (and the spoons are silver)

Your fame has spread before you, my lady. Your faithful, if somehat aged, retainer, Splotty, has been spreading messages warning advising the peasants here of your appearances amongst them.

I suggest that anyone who can, should seek an audience with Dame Patricia at Bedworth Folk Festival (24-26 Nov)

Welcome in Pat. The water's lovely!
For those who do not know Patti, she sings and plays with Splott Man. She also used to be in a group called Callennig with Mick Tems, who signs on Mudcat as Dr. Price. She has also over a number of years, been left in charge of the Ducklings at the small children sing/make/dress up sessions in Whitby Folk Week.
You should fit in here nicely Pat.
Quack!

Ah, yes, another upper crust dame born with a silver spoon, if not in her mouth, at least somewhere within her grasp, eh? And not to be confused with Patti Smith, I take it.

Greetings from the currently rainy, about-to-be-REALLY-windy Pacific northwestern US of A, Pattie!   Glad to have you here in the asyl... er, community!

Genie

PS
I have tried playing the spoons a few times, but I keep getting cereal, soup, and stuff all over me. You obviously have a more natural talent.

I am glad to see you here Dame Pattie all refitted from your racing days. Actually my dear, although you did represent Australia back in '67 you were roughed up quite badly by Intrepid to the point where many were calling you "Damn Pity" instead. Truth be told you were one of the worst Twelves ever to race for the Cup but I'm glad you're doing so well in retirement!

Welcome to the 'Cat!

GREETINGS - and Welcome to the MudCat.

I don't know what led you to fall down this "rabid hole" and enter into a world where the Wiz chops off the heads of those who discover that the Red Queen is really behind the screen.

A word of wise..descending into the land of the Obtuse.

Disregard any postings, earthly mostly...or any "members" with acronym, wiccan sylabol, mutations.

Scooby, the dress Giok is referring to is a black lace one she wears for MCing these days, a bikini would be less teasing.
A couple of summers ago she dismantled her old garden shed while wearing a bikini (just).
