23 Jan 07 - 04:06 AM (#1945172) Subject: RE: Coope Boyes & Simpson at Uxbridge From: GUEST,Mingulay at work Yes, Uxbridge Folk Club does still exist although in a somewhat dormant form at the moment and it seems that the occasional concert is to be our forte in the future. Time will tell. Will there be custard with the Spotted Dick? Drool, drool. |
23 Jan 07 - 04:37 AM (#1945195) Subject: RE: Coope Boyes & Simpson at Uxbridge From: Rasener :-) Hows that Golf Course then. Played there a couple of times. Hows the traffic these days :-) Glad I don't have to do Bracknell/Rickmansworth (via Denham) anymore - it put years on my life :-) |
23 Jan 07 - 06:31 AM (#1945269) Subject: RE: Coope Boyes & Simpson at Uxbridge From: GUEST,Mingulay at work Don't know about the golf course, not having a pet golf, but the traffic is still bad. My current record stands at 45 mins for the 3 miles from the centre of Uxbridge to home. Funnily enough I do the reverse of your journey Uxbridge/Bracknell via Iver Heath at weekends. Even using backroads it can be a nightmare. Any news on the custard? |
23 Jan 07 - 06:35 AM (#1945272) Subject: RE: Coope Boyes & Simpson at Uxbridge From: Rasener Its gone off :-) |

But they always do! I always end up right (litterally) at the bottom of the hill, when you drive towards the M25 on the 10th'ish. Out of bounds on the left. |
23 Jan 07 - 09:12 AM (#1945387) Subject: RE: Coope Boyes & Simpson at Uxbridge From: Singing Referee I meant M40. Sorry about the thread creep. |
23 Jan 07 - 10:09 AM (#1945462) Subject: RE: Coope Boyes & Simpson at Uxbridge From: Rasener Hi SR - it seems that you only play on it if you don't live there. |

I'm the fat one with a beard and no hair by the way, I wouldn't want you to confuse me with Mrs Johnston!! |

31 Jan 07 - 02:43 PM (#1953777) Subject: RE: Coope Boyes & Simpson at Uxbridge From: folkwaller Surely people don't still live in Uxbridge. Why isn't the folk club in the Gardeners Arms. Ickenham's a bit posh for a folk club although there used to be good music in the Coach and Horses a while back ( mid 60's ) |
31 Jan 07 - 03:16 PM (#1953817) Subject: RE: Coope Boyes & Simpson at Uxbridge From: Herga Kitty I actually remembered to ring the Compass theatre today and book our tickets! Zorg - Derek's got himself an Oyster card, so we're thinking of going by train. Does the bar sell anything worth not driving for? See you Sat. Kitty |

Don't know who, when or where yet so watch this space or another very much like it. Thanks are also due to Peter Slavid and Glen Johnston. See you at the next one!! |
