Lyr Req: Lynn Heraud and Pat Turner

Hi All,
Last year (2006) Lynn & Pat did a stint at the Sidmouth Festival. They did a few songs which included two VERY funny ones, one about cosmetic surgery and another about a bloke abusing a vacuum cleaner!

Lynn & Pat have not recorded either of these songs, judging them a little too risque however I have recordings made by a friend who attended the festival last year.

Did anyone else see them and if so have you managed to glean the lyrics. I would be happy to send a copy of the songs to anyone with a better ear than I and who might be able to conduct the task.

I suggest you pm Lynne herself. Her mudcat name is Leraud. I agree they are both great songs.

You need to be a registered catter not a guest

Once you are registered you can send a pm to any catter. Lyn is Leraud. I remember those two songs and agree they are hilarious.

We have recently recorded a new CD with WildGoose and 'Off For The Op' is on it. The CD will be ready in a few weeks. The song is also in our book 'Wind and Water', which is available for £5 plus P & P from our website http://homepage.ntlworld.com/lynne.heraud/

The vacuum cleaner song is actually called 'British Medical Journal'. The words are an exact copy of an article in the British Medical Journal dated 5th July 1980 and were set to a psalm chant by a friend, John Lambert, about 25 years ago. It's never been recorded.
