Wheatstone English restored, concert pitch, lovely tone. Arthritis forces sale.

Sorry about this post but I couldn't find the for sale section. :)

We don't have one as such. How much are you asking? Sounds like you're in the UK?

Sounds like a fair price. Is it by chance a tenor?

You might think about posting it   here -- Tom

Is is in modern tuning? It looks like an older instrument.

EB, as it says in his link above:

WHEATSTONE ENGLISH TREBLE CONCERTINA NUMBERED 4522

This is a lovely playable concertina in modern concert pitch, having 48 metal buttons which are bushed. The 5 fold bellows are in perfect condition and each note is in tune. There is one barely visible crack in the ebony(?) ends which is a merely cosmetic flaw and does not affect the playing of the instrument. I was told that the reeds are of brass. Re-valved in 2000 by the concertina conservator Dave Leese, it has a lovely strong tone and is ready to play.

According to the Wheatstone ledgers, 4522 was made for a Mr. Bale - and has a date of 9th March 1852!

Bit of a thread creep but I also have a concertina for sale. Mine is a Lachenal tutor model, fully restored. I'm asking £550 for it.

Gosh, thanks for the information Tim, that's really cool. My missus is into geneology in a big way. That will really impress her.

Thanks everyone the interest so far has been terrific.
