From: RangerSteve I've been in the hospital enough recently that it gives me the willies just to hear that someone else is going through that kind of hell, so Gizmo certainly has my sympathies. It is better, though, if surgeons are fairly certain of what needs doing before romping about with scalpels in one's innards. Sounds like they did right, to me, except for the first idiot who sent her home with pain pills and blamed it all on 'female troubles'. It wouldn't surprise me if his stupid and likely sexist diagnosis delayed other doctors from coming to a firm conclusion, as they likely had to consider the first diagnosis. |

Nearly lost my breakfast ('s OK, I caught it just in time). 10 years ago my daughter walked into hospital to have an appendectomy, had it done laparoscopically, and walked out 8 hours later (after the anaesthetic wore off).
