Apparently the song lyrics used to be in the DT but are no longer there (old link not supported and new search yields nothing).

Anyone have the lyrics, author, background, etc?

If I remember Ralph's story correctly the idea came when he was working on a building site with a guy from Clare, who simply said the words wistfully - that started the train of thought that ended in a beautiful song.
